RFK Bridge

The RFK Bridge in New York also known as Triborough Bridge has been shut down due to a suspicious vehicle. New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said a worker on the bridge that connects the New York City boroughs of Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx found the vehicle apparently smelling of gas. Witnesses said they saw a dark skin man wearing a dark clothing leaving the vehicle on the way to New York City and ran away Wednesday night and a smell of gasoline was reported coming from the vehicle, which was described as a U-Haul or Ryder Truck. The truck was thoroughly checked by the bomb squad, including the use of x-ray technology to scan the vehicle. The bomb squad assumed that the vehicle is safe. The bridge is owned by New York City and operated by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. It was slowly beginning to reopen around 12:05am.
