Hostage Crisis in Manila:
Former Senior Inspector Rolando del Rosario Mendoza, armed with an automatic rifle, held a Hong Thai tourist bus with 25 passengers hostage mostly Hongkong nationals, Monday morning- August 23, beside the Quirino Grandstand.

Police officials tried negotiating and the hostage taker released some of the children and old persons. Later on at 7:29pm., sniper shots were fired near the bus according to a live report of GMA News- 24 Oras and there was a man who ran out of the bus and managed to jump off the window and escaped and shouts telling the media/police officials that all tourists inside the bus are already dead.


At around 8:15pm. several gunshots were again heard and a hanging body was noticed on the main door of the bus. The authorities are trying to confirm if the hanging body is Mendoza. Authorities fired and scattered tear gas inside the bus and forced to open the emergency exit at the back of the bus. The body of Mendoza was found and he was confirmed dead after having shot in the head. Rolando Mendoza the hostage taker was killed by the SWAT sniperman. The Hostage Crisis in Manila was over and ended almost 9 in the evening.

Many are sad most especially the people in Hongkong and People in the Philippines including myself and im sure it will kinda affect the Tourism here in the Philippines. Its just an isolated case and nobody wants it to happen so lets just all pray for the victims for their dissatisfaction, sorrow and anguish.
