Quite frankly, I didn’t want to write on Meera again but somehow I couldn’t help it. You all must have seen that dramatic clip either on the net or on TV by now. I saw it on TV & the next morning, the clip was forwarded to me by my brother. GEO sucks big time & I don’t know what kind of reporting is this. My brother was saying that Meera must be paid for all this. Another friend of mine was saying that we cannot even say as to who is the biggest culprit – Meera or GEO. This is indeed cheap publicity. And I don’t regard it as a huge joke. It seems we don’t have entertainment options. The interviewer himself seemed more like a gangster & beyond any doubt, he was more prominent than Meera. I’m sure everyone must have noticed him. If they didn’t, then it speaks volumes about their lousy humor.
This entire drama started off with that miss meera jee @ hotmail shit. It seems it was preplanned but we don’t know. They are also talking about her new movie in which she has exposed. I would just use the dialogue of Shahrukh Khan: Yahan tou sab hee nangay hain. What difference does it make if Meera takes off her clothes else where.
About those mails, I just have to say that they all seem fake to me. In the last 2 mails, the word jani was used a number of times to emphasize God knows what. In another mail, the spelling of which was witch…All this seems quite deliberate. In any case, making fun of someone’s English is beyond me as I don’t find very impressive people in Pakistan. We are mostly surrounded by wannabes. Usually people look the same even though everyone is fashion freak. And the English too is never that impressive. It’s just that people can speak in our part of the world cause they attach more significance to spoken English than human qualities, values & morals these days.
