I saw this pic while searching for the pictures on little girls for my write-up on ‘Inhuman traditions.’ It’s indeed a very disturbing image. The photographer has captured bitter reality. It’s inevitable not to ponder over it.
Yeah this world is actually a very ugly place & people are far more uglier than anything else. We, humans, often take things for granted, but life can be so ruthless on some that one feels ashamed. I don’t know what could be far worse than poverty. Maybe when a person is willing to do anything for a morsel. And I really don’t know what to say about people who don’t even have clothes. But I just couldn’t help thinking that such people do not stand in one place. Life must be a torture on them.
Anyway, this pic is for all those people who think their problem is the biggest one; the ones who believe that no one can break the record of their sufferings; the ones who think that depression is an illness just for them & they are nursing & maybe nurturing it every minute; the ones who truly think that they are the definition of agony & they have seen it all. Well it’s time to see a little bit more.
This pic actually tells us that we have no fucking clue as to what misery is all about.
It seems we, humans, are by nature ungrateful for what we have. Even though it's very plainly written in Surah Rehman:
"O which of your Lord's bounties will you & you deny?"
