Earth Day Activities For Kids

Earth Day 2010. Earth day is the celebration day for earth in order to improve and inspire the awareness of Earth's environment among people and to learn what we can do to help keep the Earth healthy and not just on Earth Day but every day. It is being held on April 22nd and is celebrated all over the world. It is a special holiday that is observed by many environmentalists and earth enthusiasts.

Earth Day is a great way to celebrate natural resources, while providing kids with information on how they can help to make a difference in saving the Earth from pollution and deterioration.

Let your children contribute as much as time, children can play and be a scout by inspecting for leaky faucets in bathrooms and the kitchen. They can also recycle paper and by doing this, it would be a big help to the environment. Less paper means saving trees, water, and energy. They can also do vegetable /organic gardening and tree planting. Tree planting provides shade and it makes the surrounding attractive, help cool homes as well as providing clean air. Kids can plant their own little seed and watch it grow. They can take a long walk, go swimming or ride a bike. Bike riding is a great way to get around.

Kids can also decorate brown paper grocery bags and turn them into masks as an activity at the party. They can make a fun snack by putting mini chocolate cake in a paper cup. They can also create posters with environmental themes and post them around.
