
Ford Motor Company is set to release the all new 2011 Ford Explorer. The 2011 Ford Explorer boasts a lot of changes and improvements on the current model, including better fuel efficiency, better utility, more safety, and much more style. There are no official figures released, estimation is that 25-28 highway mpg will be common with at least two engine options, a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine or a normally aspirated V-6.
Ford has already decided that the 2011 Ford Explorer CUV will be produced at its Chicago plant, but parts will be sourced from many suppliers such as Lear in Hammond, Indiana. Associated Content estimates that Ford’s Chicago plant will also gain 1,200 jobs as a result of the Ford Explorer starting production in the fourth quarter of this year.
The New 2011 Ford Explorer is expected to be out on market this summer as 2011 model, Ward said. Manufacturer's suggested retail price for the 2011 Ford Explorer ranges from $28,000 to $35,000.
