Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack was found unconscious last night at the home the couple once shared in the Hollywood Hills and pronounced dead soon after Murphy's mother Sharon Murphy called 911.
According to TMZ, Sharon Murphy found Monjack unconscious in his master bedroom around 9:24PM, and then called 911. According to LA Times, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 911 call, which was for an "unspecified medical aid request" at the house on Sunday, according to spokesman Brian Humphrey. Medical services were administered but Monjack was pronounced dead some time after paramedics arrived, on the evening of Sunday May 23, 2010.
According to Sgt. Louie Lozano, The cause of death was unknown late Sunday night but investigators believe he died of natural causes.
Simon Monjack died five months after the death of his wife Brittany Murphy. Brittany died in December due to pneumonia, iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication. With regards to Murphy’s death, Monjack was never considered and believed a suspect. Nobody is criminally liable because her death has been ruled as an accident.
