
LPGA Golfer Dies: LPGA player, Erica Blasberg, was found dead at her home in Henderson, Nevada on Monday May 10, 2010. The cause of death is unknown at this time and a death investigation is in progress. It is not directly known whether there was any foul play involved.
Erica was a professional golfer and she was only 25 years old.
Erica Blasberg’s agent Chase Callahan released the following statement:
"We are devastated to learn of the passing of Erica Blasberg. To most of the world, Erica was known as a professional golfer, but she was more than that. She was a loving daughter to her parents and a compassionate and loyal friend. Erica had a good heart, was extremely kind and very thankful for what she had in her life.
Erica was formerly and originally from Southern, California,and went to high school in Corona. She made two-time All-American at the University of Arizona. She became professional in June 2004 and was qualified to join the Tour the following year. She was in her sixth season on the LPGA Tour and she was considered one of the LPGA’s most photogenic golf players. In February 2006 Puma signed her to endorse and wear their clothing.
