We all know that fashion always repeats itself. What was once very fashionable many decades ago gets redesigned slightly and put back in the stores for us to buy. Just before that happened though we thought they were a has-been style and looked out dated. But just get a few movie starts into the clothes from yesteryear and we all want a pair. That is just the way it works. We see someone else look good and we want to look that good too.
When it comes to jeans it is no different. Actually it is slightly different because there are always new styles and ways of wearing jeans, always. The really good ones stay on for a while but the risky and possibly bad ideas for jeans fade into a distant memory. The ones we focus on and keep are the styles that stay on. Now when it comes to talking about jeans from the 1950's it is slightly different in my opinion.
The rockabilly trend is currently strong and mad men is on televisions around the globe and we are all feeling a little bit nostalgic. In this case it is not the fashion or trend setters and movie starts telling us what to wear. We want to go back in time to a special era and start wearing those clothes again. We know how good they looked and want that back. This is what makes 1950's womens jeans really special.
The other reason why it is special is because we know what it meant for a woman to be wearing jeans in the 1950's. We know that it was a rebellion and courageous and we have all benefited from it greatly. Just look at us now with all those pairs of jeans. What would we do without them?
It is like we have come full circle at this point. From the style of jeans from the 1950's, we have gone through hundreds of styles from that time and now we are returning to it, returning back to our roots and possibly feeling empowered by it. Even though the rebellion factor is not there fully, it is slightly present in the fact that we are wearing that style once more because we want to and not because we are told to. If you haven't yet got a pair for yourself, go out and buy one and wear it proudly. But not because I told you to.
Ever since womens jeans became popular, it is also true that womens skinny jeans have been around. This style is always flattering.
