Little Benny Died

Washington DC's very much respected trumpet player Anthony Harley, better known as "Little Benny," has died at the age of 46. He passed away on May 30 at his brother’s home in Washington itself. The death was confirmed by longtime friend and former business partner Keith Galloway, but he did not know the cause of death. Anthony Harley apparently died in his sleep friend said.

Little Benny was the group member of the Rare Essence Go-Go Band. He defined the city’s traditional style of funk music and became famous. He left the group in the middle of 1980s and created Little Benny and the Masters.
