Periodontitis is a more serious and referred as gum disease. Periodontitis is where the disease has spread from the gums into the surrounding tissue. If your gums are enlarged, so tender, and bleed easily, you may have gingivitis or Peridontal Disease (Periodontitis). If untreated, Periodontitis may result in the loss of the bone around teeth which may lead to loosening and may end to loss of teeth. In addition to that, bacterias are allowed to spread easily through your gums and to your blood stream that trigger and stresses the immune system. When the mouth is controlled by bacteria, the bacteria will get to the blood stream, and can create plaque of different kinds. This is the plaque of the arteries that leads to stroke, heart attack and high blood pressure. It is really common to adults especially when you reach the age of 36 and up.
