Recent earthquakes hits back Southern California evening of saturday from Borrego Springs at 8:08: and followed by a second quake 24 seconds later. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was at first at a depth of 3.6 miles, centered about 9 miles to the north and north-west of Borrego Springs, 32 miles southeast of Palm Springs and 59 miles northeast of San Diego, while the second was centered a mile from the first.
It is said that earthquake was also felt in San Diego and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said there are no received calls of damage or injuries. The newspaper said some sportscasters covering the San Diego-Seattle baseball game at Petco Park felt the quake in the press box.
