New GAP Logo

GAP decides to change its logo from navy blue background with GAP written in the middle to a logo which comes with a little blue box black letters and a white background.

Some are saying that it's a wise decision and that the new logo looks better than the old logo but many consumers worldwide delivered and showed negative feedback on Twitter and Facebook. There is even a comment on Gap's Facebook page said the logo looked like it was made by a child.

Gap North America president Marka Hansen said in a statement that the San Francisco-based company realized how much people liked the old logo after they put up the new one, a white background with black letters and a little blue box. She also says Gap didn’t handle the change correctly and missed a chance to have shoppers offer input until it was too late.

He also said "There may be a time to evolve our logo, but if and when that time comes, we'll handle it in a different way," "adding that the project was not the right one to offer up to "crowd sourcing."
