Recently Asin announced that she wasn't doing the Hindi re-make of Kakka Kakka. When Vipul announced about this film, her name was there on the list. Btw, Vipul & Asin also worked together in London Dreams. Asin maintained a 6 month long silence on this issue. People were as usual speculating all sorts of things. They wrote all kinds of things...you know how imagination runs wild, but no one bothered to ask Asin as to what is the real story.
"Yes, I won't deny that I was earlier supposed to work in this film", accepts Asin while detailing out the series of events that changed the course of the star cast, "In fact I had done the Telugu remake of the same film so I was pretty much aware about the setting and the role. However, at that time, Gautham Menon (who had directed the original KAKKA KAKKA) was supposed to direct the Hindi version as well."
Nishikant Kamant is the main reason why she's not doing this film. Plus Asin had prior commitments. But somewhere in the newspaper I read that John wanted a more sexy heroine like Sonam Kapoor. Asin acts very well. She's also attractive. Although she has some attitude problem. Sonam Kapoor is just attractive. She can neither act nor talk. She can only call Aishwarya Rai aunty & write down low tweets on Shobha De. As if Sonam herself would never ever grow old! And if my memory serves me right...John is the guy who worked in Jhota Hee Sahi with that woman who had no screen presence, but she was the wife of a director so he didn't make any demands whatsoever.
Her next release is Ready opposite Salman Khan. She has confessed that she's not an insecure person & this makes her chose her work carefully.
