Now, have you heard such a statement before from any of the filmmakers? Of course you haven't because it's something which only a maverick like Anees Bazmee can believe in.
As his next film is getting set for release, Anees Bazmee has high expectations from his new directorial venture. Says he, "I will say that NO PROBLEM is my best film till date. It's not like the mindless comedies that we see on screens, it's something that is bound to make you feel entertained. NO PROBLEM's humour is a notch above WELCOME and NO ENTRY. When I write comedy films I treat them like serious subjects and try to present them in the best possible way avoiding all sorts of shortcuts like mindless dialogues and all."
It must be mentioned that unlike many filmmakers who get down to writing smilingly, Anees Bazmee has his own way of functioning. Adds Bazmee, "I have a strange habit of writing films when I am in a bad mood. I write the best drafts when I feel frustrated or angry. I channelize all these energies into crafting my script. This is true especially of my comedy films, which are mostly written when my mood is bad."
With Anees all set with his new film, let's hope it gets the same response that his films are known for.
