Lunar Eclipse December 2010

A lunar eclipse will take place in the early hours of December 21 in the night skies depending on your time zone so better stay up late and head outside to watch this dazzling, unusual event.

The moon appears red-orange in color during totality. In the Eastern US, eclipse will begin after midnight. On the West Coast it will begin right after 9:00 PM. It is also visible here in the Philippines and will shortly begin after sunset.

It will also be visible in parts of Australia such as Queensland and New South Wales.
