I’m quite amused to learn that Veena Malik has read innumerable books on men & she bragged on Big Boss that she knows men very well. After few minutes, she said that there is no need to understand women; they should only be loved. Samir Soni of course asked her if she’s saying that women have no brains, cause female activists would not like to hear this statement. Naturally Veena couldn’t defend herself.
Over the years, we all have heard such statements that don’t make much sense but these women want to tell us how well read or intellectual or smart they are. Rani Mukerjee said on Koffee with Karan that she would give a book to her mum & Kajol (who cannot help being a bitch) just blurted out that Rani’s mother doesn’t read at all. Piggy Chops in some interview said that she’s all for deep silence & the next minute she took a U-turn & uttered that she hates it when it’s so quiet.
Another unforgettable statement was uttered by none other than Gia Ali. She said that a beautiful woman is always in a relationship & at that time, there were 2 men in her life (which means she thinks she’s beautiful? & the existence of 2 men makes her Aphrodite I suppose). And women who are not into any kind of relationship are either lesbians or they have relationships with animals. This is laughable, to say the least. But I suspect somebody might have poured this million dollar idea in her empty head.
Nirma only talks about her English & it’s amusing how she refers to her good pals by calling them ‘so-called friends.’ And her much famous statement is something like this: you don't have to be a Phd to speak good English. And there’s another one - Zee Q who has been working on a book for years as writing comes naturally to her. This lady has done her Master’s in English, which is not a big deal cause most of us went to uni & have 2, 3 degrees, but she brags about it in nearly every interview. Vaneeza Ahmed often says things that I forget because she talks too much & is seen often on TV. Anyway she said that most people in her family read novels & she loves reading Coelho. And then she went on with this reading thing that runs in her blood. I don’t dislike this lady as such but I’m sorry to say it wasn’t impressive. But I believe the most fun woman was Zoella, cause once we read that she has done her Masters in Psychology, then in another interview it became commerce. I think she used to lie for the sake of lying & naturally she couldn’t keep track of it.
Meera said lots of things last year. It’s difficult to pick one. But I can never forget the man who took her interview on Geo. He seemed like a gangster. I think he was the best thing in that interview. I’ve never seen him on Geo again. Most probably they just hired him for that interview to make an impact.
