The Catholic Church celebrates the Beatification of Pope John Paul II and declared him 'BLESSED'. It was attended by a million Catholic pilgrims at the Vatican and millions of people around the world on television and internet.

Beatification is defined as one being 'Blessed' and it is the higher turning point and road to sainthood- one of highest honors of the Catholic Church.

Pope John Paul II died at the age of 84 last April 2, 2005 аftеr battling Parkinson’s disease-a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system which results from the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells, but even though Pope John Paul II passed away 6 years ago, in the minds of many people, Pope John Paul II still remains the face of the Catholic faith.
