Legendary musician, American poet and author Gil Scott- Heron died at the age of 62 yesterday afternoon-May 27 in New York City. The cause of his death was not immediately explained.Gil Scott-Heron is one of the most admired political artists in the 1970’s mixing percussion with spoken word performances. He began implementing poetry to rhythmic jazz during the late 60's and and build fame when he recorded The Revolution Will Not Be Televised in 1971. In 2010 Gil Scott-Heron released his first album in 15 years I’m New Here which featured a haunting video for the song, "Me and The Devil."
