It's the 60th anniversary of the Miss USA pageant and this year, Alyssa Campanella was crowned Miss USA 2011 representing California.Miss USA 2011 was held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 19, 2011 and it was hosted by Bravo Executive Andy Cohen and Italian celebrity news personality Giuliana Rancic.
The 51 candidates from 50 states and the District of Columbia were obviously beautiful both in swimsuit and evening gown but only one woman was lucky enough to win the crown and the title of Miss USA 2011.
The 21-year-old auburn-haired Alyssa Campanella was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to California.

When Campanella was asked about the legalization marijuana during the final Question and Answer portion, she said, "I understand that medical marijuana is very important for those who need it legally. It's abused, but that's the only reason I'd be against it. I'm not sure legalizing it would have much of an effect on the drug war."
Alyssa Campanella will compete in the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12.
