1. The printer is off and plugged the power cord.
2. Press and hold STOP / RESET then press and hold POWER.
3. Release the button STOP / RESET (POWER button should not be removed)
4. Press STOP / RESET 2 (two) times, then release the POWER button
5. Let green light blink / kelip2x until the printer head stops moving. And the LED panel shows number ZERO.
6. The computer will detect new hardware, just ignore them .....
7. This situation shows mp198 printer in ready state and reset the SERVICE MODE.
DOWNLOAD PROGRAM RESETTER canon mp198.
1. Exctract File Resetter mp198.
2. Prepare a second paper in the printer (to print at the time of the reset process)
3. Run the program Resetter mp198.
4. Click "PLAY", then the printer will proceed, then mp198 will print one page with the words "D = 000.0 and ...."
5. Click the "Clear EEPROM".
6. Then click the "EEPROM", and the printer will print the results Resetter canon mp198. One of the writing row as follows:

7. Turn off the printer by pressing the POWER button.
