Ind vs Wi Test

Sachin
Harbhajan Singh slammed quick-fire fifty to lead India's fightback on the first day of the first Test against West Indies at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

Devendra Bishoo dismissed VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to reduce India to 85/6.

Bishoo first had Dravid (40) caught by Darren Sammy at first slip in the second over after lunch and in his next over had Dhoni caught by Lendl Simmons at gully.

Opting to bat, India were struggling with four wickets down and 69 runs on the board at lunch.

India lost their fourth wicket when Fidel Edwards had debutant Virat Kohli (4) caught behind by Carlton Baugh at the stroke of lunch.

Devendra Bishoo struck on his first delivery when he had VVS Laxman caught by Darren Sammy at first slip.

Laxman (12) added 34 runs for the third wicket with Rahul Dravid before falling to Bishoo.

Abhinav Mukund's Test debut innings ended in a disaster as he edged a Ravi Rampaul delivery onto his stumps.

Mukund departed for 15 as Rampaul reduced India to 30/2.

India got off to a bad start as Rampaul had Murali Vijay caught by Devendra Bishoo at backward point.

The breakthroughs came after Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and chose to bat.

Alongwith Mukund, Virat Kohli and Praveen Kumar make their Test debuts for India.

The West Indies have left out Kemar Roach and Marlon Samuels.
