One silly little tip for your day

Leave the last one or two bites on your plate.

Just put it down! Unless you’re just eating a teeny amount of food, that last little bit won’t make much of a difference.

I find that my eating habits get so organized and compartmentalized that I end up mindlessly grazing on whatever I have packed for the day even after I’m full. The mindset of having to eat everything off my plate is a hard one to shake, and by leaving a couple bites I not only trim a few calories from the meal, I am starting to figure out my limits. If you’re still hungry in a few minutes, go right ahead and eat those last few bites, or save them; they’ll be there for you later if you wish.
