What Is Toasted Skin Syndrome ?

Toasted Skin Syndrome is what Swiss researchers have discovered a skin condition, a permanent red discoloration of the skin caused by very long exposure to heat. In a recent case, a 12 year old boy developed a skin discoloration shaped sponge in his left thigh after playing computer games a couple of hours every day for several months.

"He acknowledged that the laptop was hot on the left side, but despite that, he changed his position," Swiss researchers reported in an article published in the journal Pediatrics.

Major computer makers like Apple, Hewlett Packard and Dell advised the user manuals to place laptops in the lap or on the skin for a long time because of the risk of burns.

Researchers advise anyone who is concerned about the syndrome to put your laptop carry case with the team, to protect the shield body against heat.
