The raspy voiced American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino, shared that she is expecting a baby while singing at a concert in Florida. Keep reading to find out what Fantasia told the crowd and who we think the baby-daddy is.
It’s baby number two for Fantasia, who is already a mother to nine year-old daughter Zion. Fantasia was singing in Jacksonville, Florida and right before she sang, “Even Angels” she shared her pregnancy news! “You are the first persons that I share this news with and I share this with you because I can relate to you … This child that I’m carrying, God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of y’all.”
Fantasia has had a rocky road since her American Idol win, including an abortion and a rumored suicide attempt. Just last August, Fantasia was hospitalized for an attempted drug overdose. It was said that Fantasia went into a downward spiral after she was accused of breaking up Antwaun Cook’s marriage. On a VH1 special, Behind the Music, Fantasia shared that she had an abortion when she found out she was pregnant with Cook’s baby.
In Fantasia’s latest baby announcement, she did not share who the father is. But it really wasn’t a shock to her fans that the star is pregnant. It has been speculated for awhile that Fantasia was sporting a baby-bump. Her manager squashed the pregnancy rumors stating the singer gained weight for an acting role.
Now that the pregnancy is confirmed, will Fantasia share who the baby-daddy is? We will have to wait and see if Antwaun Cook is indeed the daddy.
