Now it seems to be a case of plagiarism. However, in the past people have invented fake cases to get publicity! It has been alleged that Guzarish is a copy of Summer Snow – an unpublished novel by Dayanand Raajan. The story has been leaked as he shared the novel with a couple of industry people.
Guzarish has many similarities with the novel Summer Snow. Some minor changes have been made in the movie, but the main plot is the same. This is the story about mercy killing. The protagonist has an accident in which he’s confined to the wheelchair & the nurse who looks after him falls for him in the movie whereas his wife looks after him in the book. Hrithik is a magician in Guzarish but the other guy is a dancer.
Dayanand has taken legal action against Bhansali as he wants to protect his novel. A 7 day notice period has been given to the allegedly accused failing which Dayanand will move court to get a stay order on the release of the movie.
