Although I’m not smiling physically, my insides feels like it’s smiling like these little kids ;p

Compound Entertainment

Ne-Yo
In his pursoot to globalize his label’s talent pool, Ne-Yo has just launched Compound Island, the Caribbean version of his label Compound Entertainment. He intends to promote music from Jamaica and from the Islands around the world. He plans to give artists a chance to showcase their talent through an online talent search.
“Reggae music is global music; you can go anywhere to hear it. You can go to Australia and hear it.” said Ne-Yo.
Bounty Killa, Ghetts, Shystie, a bunch of other people - “Limb by Limb”
I guess the cool kids are calling this stuff “post-Dancehall” - Dancehall guys singjaying over non-“Dancehall” beats, often alongside UK grime dudes and ladies. Not sure if this supercedes the Funky Bashment subgenre or not.
Unrelated: for whatever reason, huge posse tracks by American rappers almost always bore me, but when Road Rap/Grime dudes do it I’m all over it. Probably because I hate America?

Tamarind

Fried dumplings. I know this may be turning into a food blog but gravy nuh nicer than when you have a piece of fried dumpling to wipe it up.
