Amy Winehouse passed away at the age of 27

British soul singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse passed away at the age of 27.

Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in Camden, north London on July 23, 2011-Saturday according to a report from SkyNews.


Amy Winehouse became famous with her 2006 album, Back to Black. The album won five Grammy Awards, including song and record of the year for the single, "Rehab."

The cause of her death is still unknown.

Tears For Fears were first associated with the New Wave synthesizer bands of the early 1980s but later branched out into mainstream rock and pop. They got their name from Arthur Janov's primal scream therapy and the band consisted of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, are high school friends from Bath, England. They became so popular with their hit songs like "Mad World" and "Pale Shelter". and their debut album, 1983's The Hurting, reached number 1 in the UK.
