Celebrating American Independence Day

July 4 is a Special Day for Americans, commonly known as the 4th of July, a federal holiday in the United States to observe the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It is America's 235th Independence Day.

A lot of banks, financial institutions and government offices will be closed for the Independence Day holiday though ATM is available as well as online banking.


Americans gather with relatives, friends, loved ones, and celebrate Independence day by watching fireworks and parades, having picnics and enjoy their favorite dishes and of course enjoy their favorite BBQ recipes to make it fun and enjoyable for everyone.



Here in Manila, the US Embassy and all their affiliated offices were closed in observance of U.S. Independence Day. Police deployed and strictly monitored the U.S. Embassy in Manila.

Philippine Independence Day Celebrations

Philippine Independence Day this year falls on a Sunday. The Philippines will celebrate its 113th Independence Day along with Filipino communities worldwide.





June 12 is an annual celebration Philippine Independence and is one of the listed regular holidays for 2011 under Proclamation No. 84 signed by President Benigno Aquino III based on the proclamation made by the Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo, at Kawit, Cavite -Philippines on June 12 1889.

President Benigno S. Aquino III will be at the flag raising ceremony that will be held at the Rizal National Monument, Rizal Park at 7a.m. and will state his Independence Day message.


A lot of activities are to be held in the Philippines in connection with Independence Day Celebration.

July 5th Holiday

Fort Jackson offices will be closed today. postal offices will be closed today to remark Independence Day celebrated July 4. There is no regular mail is being delivered, express mail only.

All US banks will also be closed on July 5, 2010 for Independence Day Holiday since it fell on a Sunday. July 5 2010 - MONDAY will be acknowledged as federal holiday. You can withdraw cash or any other transactions at Bank ATM's which will function on monday, - July 5, 2010. Banks and traders will be coming back to their desks Tuesday.

4th Of July celebrations

United States of America will celebrate their Independence Day on the 4th of July. Festivities will be taking place all around the country. Fireworks activities with the loud noises and colorful displays and waving of American flags. It is a grand celebration in the United States. 4th of July is also celebrated as Nathan's hotdog eating contest, the top happening on the Major League Eating's organizational calendar.

Here in the Philippines we celebrate 4th of July as Philippine-American Friendship Day.

July 4 is the the Filipino-American Friendship Day. In fact, it was the independence day which is observed from 1946 to 1964. But in August 1964, our government with the advice of historians,Our government changed that after US influence declined over the years and became the 12th of June as Philippine Independence Day, and 4th of July was changed to Filipino-American Friendship Day.

Philippine Independence Day Marathon

PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY MARATHON (HALF MARATHON)

It will be held on june 12 along 8th Avenue and 28th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Philippines
