From Here To Eternity To Be Re-released With Gay Content

'From Here To Eternity', a 1951 novel is going to be released digitally with homosexual content after James Jones' descendants have struck a deal with an ebook supplier 'Open Road'.

Earlier, this novel by James Jones was censored due to the gay content. However, an uncensored original version about US soldiers serving in Hawai during Pearl Harbor will be available online from May 10.

The e-book will contain scenes of the homosexuals and language that was earlier considered to be too vulgar and unacceptable. Original book publisher 'Scriber' didn't publish this content.

Jones didn't like the publishers intrusion but had to give in to their demands so that the novel gets published.

His daughter Kaylie said, 'My father fought bitterly to hold on to every four letter word in the manuscript.'

Anyhow, despite the censorship the book was made into a motion picture in 1953 starring Frank Sinatra, Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster. The movie also won eight Oscars.

I think this is brilliant news. Every writer wants only one thing - that his original words are published freely and understood by the readers. I feel sad that long after James Jones is gone will his book be published in its original form.

The world is so slow in accepting reality that a few intelligent people talk about so openly much before their time. Reminds me of how people judge writers just because they write something. Was James Jones gay because he wrote a book on homesexuals? Just cause somebody updates his or her blog with latest world stories that show how the world is getting gross does that mean the blogger is sick or slutty?

I know the world is so slow in accepting the real things. When everybody else sees the same light, it is better to see that light!

Amy Adams

Kevin Costner and Diane Lane will play the role of Superman's adoptive parents.

I don't know for me, Christopher Reeve was the one and only Superman. I am just not even interested in watching anybody else in this character though all these other guys are quite goodlooking. He was such a great actor, too bad he met an accident that made his life so painful and ultimately led to his death.
