Hema Malini Delays Esha's Film for Her Step Sons

Hema Malini has been supporting her daughter Esha Deol from the very beginning of her acting career. She has worked really hard to help her daughter in having a comeback in the industry with her own production Tell Me Oh Khuda (TMOK). To the rescue of their daughter, even Dharmendra jee has broken a self imposed rule that he would never share screen space along with his daughter and he would appear in TMOK with Esha Deol. The best part of TMOK is that Arjan Bajwa is the hero in this film. Good at least the lead character is good looking.

However, Hema Malini ji has a big heart and is a lovely wife. She supported her husband and step sons, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol by delaying the release date of TMOK so that the guys in the family would be able to get the due attention they need for Yamla Pagla Deewana (YMD). They felt YMD was to be kept on priority and being the super cool family that they are, they took some time to work more on TMOK's editing and final touches.

She said that one family picture has made way for another family picture. And they would not have been ready to deal with the pressure of handling two films together so it's a better for everyone that first YMD is released and then TMOK.

Meenakshi

People might have forgotten about Meenakshi but I think she was a very fine actress. Unlike many, we never heard any scandals about her. She solely concentrated on her acting.

She’s married to Harish Mysore & she lives in America. And I just can’t believe she’s 55 year old.

She shot to fame with the megahit film Hero (1983) directed by Subhash Ghai. She gave a stunning performance in Damini and was nominated for a National Award for the movie. She acted in her last film Ghatak in 1997. In her career in the film industry she acted in about 80 films.

Damini has been one of my favourite movies. She played the role of a very honest person & she suffers lot owing to that honesty. In fact her husband who so admired her honesty deserts her when she couldn’t get one evil incident out of her mind. However, this woman fights with the society for justice. A maid had been raped by a couple of guys (one of them was her husband’s younger brother) & she was the only eye witness. Although her husband tried to stop the assault but it was too late. This is the only movie in which I liked the role of Sunny Deol. He was a lawyer. By the way, Rishi Kapoor was her husband.

I think Akshaye Khanna & Meenakshi are 2 people who never been involved in any kind of scandal. They think it’s a blatant lie if a person is not partying or having affairs or flings or fucking around just for the heck of it, but they are few people who are like this. They are not always dying for fun or maybe their standard is high. Speaking of which reminds me of Gia Ali’s statement that a beautiful woman is always in a relationship (& when she made this statement, she was in relationship with 2 men) & those who are not in relationship are either lesbians or sleeping with animals. No doubt she’s an illiterate woman & we can’t expect a sensible statement of a dumb fuck. But my point is that even in the industry we have people who have got spotless characters. It doesn’t matter whether people believe it or not.

Music of the Day - Tri Dev

I saw a bit of this old Indian flick this week called Tri Dev. It had three heroes and 3 heroines. Madhuri Dixit was a new comer then. There were these other tall models Sonam and Sangeeta Bijlani also.

This is one of the very popular songs of the Indian cinema. There is one other version of it too with Naseeruddin Shah but the lyrics are much better in this version when the girls are singing that there comes a time when justice is delivered and that time has almost arrived :P

Deols Rock on the Sets of Yamla Pagla Deewana

The Deols - Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol simply rocked on the sets of Yamla Pagla Deewana. I think all of them look so cute and sweet together. Bobby Deol seems to be in a funny mood.

Yesterday, I also read that now Sunny Deol's son has joined the best acting school in town which is being run by Sunny Deol's old friend and colleague who made his first movie Betaab. Though, the son looks a bit like Abhay Deol but possibly like him he would eventually be a decent actor.
