in all of my 27 years i never thought i’d ever turn into one of those people - a calorie counter! but for health reasons (hypothyroid sucks big time) i really need to watch what i eat. so here i am calorie counting - and it’s actually fun. yep, fun. thanks to a little app called myfitnesspal.
it computes your calorie goal for the day based on your target weight, your gender, your daily activities (kind of work), how often you workout plus some other variables. i am so amazed with the extent of the food database - even homecooked Pinoy food are in there! the app is so good that every single person i introduced it to got hooked.
am trying to get as close to my daily calorie goal so lets see if i’ll lose weight. i love that it appeals to my achiever-side. it’s been relatively easy to watch my food. sometimes it gets hilarious when my friends and i see how much exercise is needed to burn off even the smallest food. we should be appalled but we’re not - we find it really funny haha. just the other day a co-worker was convincing me to eat flat top candies and saying just do one jumping jack for every candy and we were laughing like crazy when we checked the app. one flat top is NOT equal to one jumping jacks!
