Lady Gaga Will Donate $1 Million For LGBTQ Organizations

Lady Gaga, who is very open about her bisexuality will be donating $1 million to the Robin Hood Foundation to support five New York based groups that aid homeless LGBTQ youths. The money will be used to support nonprofits completely.

According to figures, there are at least 4000 teens living on the streets of New York. Some are from foster cares, some have run away from their homes while some were rejected by their families because of their sexual orientation.

Robin Hood Foundation has programs that help these kids get off the streets and build stable lives for themselves. Lady Gaga has asked people to vote on which of the five charities should get the largest share of monetary support by getting $500,000.

The five charities are as follows:

1. The Door - It runs a health clinic, legal services, LGBT counseling and activities along with art classes and more. It provides services to 11,000 teens.

2. Hetrick-Martin Institute - It is the oldest organization that supports LGBTQ youth in America. It provides health services, food, counseling, education, career development and sexual health advice.

3. Lawyers for Children - It provides free legal and social work services to some 40,000 youth with special focus on the LGBTQ youth.

4. Safe Horizon - It serves homeless and abused youth of NYC and help them get back to a more stable life.

5. SCO Family of Services - It provides transitional housing, education, health services, life skills training and career guidance to the youth.

Lady Gaga is quite focused on ensuring that her super stardom is used for the best of humanity and it is good to see her do so much for the causes she believes in. Most people are quite happy to see her doing work for the youth, the support of LGBTQ youth and the hope that people will learn to accept everyone with whatever sexual orientation they have in a civilized manner.

Salman Khan Performs For Free

Salman Khan, one of the most super stars of Hindi Cinema is known for his super duper hit performances, unforgettable dance steps and cool songs. He is loved immensely by his fans unlike any other actor. He has also made a mark by showing how much he supports social causes and humanitarian work in the past and even today. His own organization "Being Human" does so much work for the needy and not so privileged people around.

It is a known fact, that Salman Khan's normally charges Rs. 2 crore for any performance. However, in order to support an initiative for the girl child WAVE (Women Against Violation and Empowerment) concert, he will perform for free in Bandra. Priyanka Chopra will also perform in this concert but has taken a token money. She however believes in the cause of taking care of the girl child.

When the Dabangg actor heard about the school and the education of the girl child, he immediately agreed to be a part of the show. Salman asks the people of India ‘If I can talk about educating women and the girl child why can’t you?’ He has prepared the AV himself and is taking a keen interest in the whole thing as he really feels for the girl child.”

He feels that helping build this school will give these women and young girls an opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential, or at least the platform from where the journey will begin.

“I am proud to be able to lend my support to such an endeavour. I believe that the first thing we need to tackle is the mind set towards the girl child.

Thus once again, Salman Khan won the hearts of many people. He is the real super hero.

Salman at Charitable Organization

Here is Salman Khan at a charitable organization since he has been involved social work pretty much these days. Along with it, he also promotes his own organization Being Human.

Besides being known as the official bad boy of Bollywood, the actor has worked a lot on social causes time and again. Interestingly, there is a soft emotional side of the actor that he discovered or perhaps the world discovered during the shooting of Veer. It was noticed that the actor started painting and drawing with his fingers in his free time. He was so impressive that he helped in the art direction and set up as well. Later on, he made a lot of paintings and will be auctioning them too. When he went to Greece for a shoot, he used to capture the places and paint them on canvas as well after the shoot. Apart from that he is specially good at making faces of gods like Shiva, he even painted Mother Teresa remembering her. 

Therefore, the man is just not all about anger, bicepts and bitchy girlfriends. There's definitely much more to him.
