Another dead body of a female child was found in Lyari & this has been the 5th incident reported in the past one month. The body was totally disfigured. Even though we have 2 organizations (Edhi Foundation & Chippa Welfare Association) which are working for this noble cause, yet babies are being killed.
The weird part is that the police have the history of never registering FIR in these cases & this is the height of injustice. According to Section 302 of the Penal Code, this is premeditated murder. And it is common sense that whoever commits murder should be behind the bars, but this doesn’t happen at all.
Section 329 also says: “Whoever, by secretly burying or otherwise disposing of the body of a child whether the child dies before, after or during birth, intentionally conceals or endeavors to conceal the birth of such child, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with find or with both.”
Isn’t it ironic that laws are on the statute book, but action is never taken against the culprits! We all know that all these babies are not illegitimate. Even in this age, many people do not want female child & hence they get rid of the poor baby.
Have you even noticed that the cases in which kids are being slaughtered…most of them are all girls. I don’t know what’s going to happen to a country where people keep mum when they should protest.
I just don’t know if there’s a way to make this world a better place for the unfortunate & the ones who aren’t even given the chance to live. Sometimes it seems such an ideal philosophy, which can never be tested in this cruel world. The idea of good conquering over evil seems impossible. Wicked folks get away with everything. It’s indeed frustrating to live in a place where we are just so helpless. Seriously I wonder if people would ever respect life & let others live.
We have too many mind-boggling questions. For instance, why do we have laws that aren’t implemented at all? And on the other hand, bad laws are being not just implemented, but also abused blatantly by morons.
Even life of an ant matters, cause God has created it. However, this is something that could not be accepted by those who think they are far above everything.
