My New Book - Pakistani Media: The Way Things Are

It is about time that I should inform our readers and followers about my latest book "Pakistani Media: The Way Things Are". I have recently completed this book on the media scene of Pakistan giving an unbiased account of how things actually go about in our industry. Also, through this book I feel people around the world could get a better understanding of Pakistani society because there are some strange and rigid perceptions created about Pakistan without any logical grounds. Once people will see things with an open mind, they will realize, that Pakistan is not a barren piece of land, or a country of terrorists, a place where women where burkhas and where people can not speak or understand languages. I have given it my best shot to write things that I have observed over the years I have worked in our industry.

Book Description:

"It is very difficult to understand how people around the world believe things about Pakistan that are untrue without actually ever knowing how things really are. The perceptions that are embedded in the minds are so strong that it is almost impossible to clear them out. The conviction with which the false image is accepted is even more appalling. This book highlights one of the most essential industries of the world i.e. media and shows how media alone has been a crucial part of Pakistan's existence and progress. It is an effort to show how Pakistani media started and how much has it evolved over the years. The media is a representation of a society and one must know at least a bit about Pakistan's media before creating perceptions that do not fit our society as a whole. Therefore, this book is about understanding how things really are in Pakistan through media giving an unbiased overview of the situation. Thus, this work should prove quite useful to students and professionals in the field of Media, Communications and Journalism around the world as a mere eye opener."

Published by Lambert Academic Publishing in Germany. The book is now available on all major online stores including Amazon. It will be out in bookstores in a few weeks with major focus in the American and European market. You can view the links for two markets depending on where you live.
