So … I’ve been thinking about how I work out. And I think I need to get more serious about strength training and more intensive interval training.
I’ve been doing circuit training for the past few months — but more as a super-duper-cardio-ish-workout than as a real strength training endeavor. And I think this needs to change for a couple of reasons:
- Strength training is a more efficient way to burn calories and change the way my body looks than cardio training.
- I get enough light cardio in my day-to-day activities that I know that light-to-moderate, easy-peasy cardio isn’t doing it for me.
- Watching myself get stronger is waaaay more entertaining than watching the minutes tick by on the elliptical.
- There are other reasons, but most of them are boring and science-y.
Gonna give this a try and see if I’m not more engaged and if I see an improvement.
