Manny Pacquiao meets U.S. President Barack Obama

Boxing Superstar Manny "pacman" Pacquiao was invited to the White House and stopped traffic outside the White House in Washington D.C. during a courtesy visit last Tuesday-Febuary 15. Traffic moved slowly because many people recognized Manny Pacquiao.

According to reports, U.S. President Barack Obama welcomes Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee Pacquiao. Obama shook Pacquiao’s hands and told him that he was a fan of him. Manny Pacquiao together with wife Jinky had a private lunch with the US president at the White House. They also received bags of M&M's chocolates and Manny received a watch from President Obama with the US presidential seal while Pacquiao gave Obama a pair of boxing trunks. Obama and Pacquiao posed for photos including a boxing pose in the Oval Office.

Pacquiao was the first Filipino Boxer who was invited at the White House and the meeting was made by U.S. Senator Harry Reid.

According to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz, Pacquiao invited U.S. President Obama to his upcoming fight against Shane Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas but Michael Koncz said U.S. President Obama can’t watch the May 7 fight live, but Obama promised to watch on television.

Don't Let Salazar Sell Out Wolves and the Endangered Species Act

Recent reports suggest that President Obama's Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar, is prepared to agree to, and is actively promoting, legislative language that would eliminate Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections for all gray wolves in the Northern Rockies, including those in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and portions of Washington, Oregon and Utah.

The proposal is arbitrary and strikes a blow at the very foundation of the Endangered Species Act. Hundreds of wolves — maybe more than a thousand — could be killed. And you and I could lose America's most effective tool for protecting imperiled wildlife.

Iconic Newspaper Headlines Ever Printed

These are some of most memorable and shocking newspaper headlines ever printed throughout history.

TITANIC SINKS IN 4 HOURS: This headline was shocking but absolutely true. All the other papers of that time, could not believe the unsinkable Titanic could ever be destroyed and that too in just 4 hours. Other papers reported No Lives Lost and Everybody's Safe on Titanic.

Paul McCartney at the White House

Paul McCartney performed a concert at the White House on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 and won The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Accepting it, Paul McCartney was great and humble and he gave a live performance in the East Room of the White House for President Barack Obama and the first family.

Paul McCartney dedicates the Beatles' "Michelle" to the First Lady spotted singing along with her husband and children. In one of the performances President Obama joined him onstage and sang with him.

Save America’s Wolves

Alaska's majestic gray wolves are in grave danger. The state has issued permits to aerial gunners and pilots to chase the wolves, run them to exhaustion and shoot them from the air or to land and shoot them at point-blank range. Hundreds of wolves have already been killed, and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her allies are targeting hundreds more this year!

Over the past five years, Alaska’s aerial hunting program has claimed the lives of more than 800 wolves. During these hunts, wolves are shot from the air or chased by airplanes to the point of exhaustion before the pilot lands the plane and a gunner shoots the animals point blank.

Help us Save America's Wolves! Sign the petition below to urge President Barack Obama to end the brutal slaughter of these magnificent animals by enforcing the federal Airborne Hunting Act.
