Howard Stern had an announcement that he'll stay with Sirius XM for another five years. Howard Stern had an exclusive contract with Sirius XM Radio since 2006, and now, he again signed a new a deal and renewed his contact for 5 more years. Im pretty sure that some of Sirius XM Radio management celebrate and rejoice right now including the fans of Howard, they are happy that the contract is extended and they will not have to cancel their subscriptions. Howard Stern said that he closed the deal with Mel Karmazin on Wednesday after months of tight negotiations. "I've signed a deal." He then told listeners and his staff Thursday morning. "Were in an incredible position and suddenly there’s real growth. It’s a real business."
Stern’s earlier Five year contract with Sirius XM satellite radio was negotiated for $500 million. No word on how many multi millions he is making this time around.
