Lindsay Lohan Went To Prison But Was Released After Five Hours

Lindsay Lohan was briefly jailed on Friday as the Los Angeles judge, Stephanie Sautner downgraded her jewellery theft but sentenced her to four months behind bars for violating her probation.

Lindsay Lohan looked confused and distressed on Friday after hearing this and was taken immediately to prison from court after the day long hearing session in the court for her $2500 gold necklace theft.

Her jewellery charges were reduced to a misdemeanour from a more serious crime and might just reduce to a one year time behind bars if she is eventually convicted. However, judge felt the evidence suggested that she intended to steal the jewellery.

She ruled that Lohan had violated her probation for a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession incident. So she sentenced her to 120 days jail and 480 hours community service in a morgue and women's prison.

Lindsay's lawyer filed an appeal immediately. She was released later in the day after five hours behind the bars. Her lawyer argued that she was distracted and absent minded when she left the store with the necklace but she didn't steal.

Lindsay Lohan has merely destroyed her acting career herself as she been too busy with her rehabs, prison and courtroom episodes since 2007. She was offered a role in film by John Gotti but it is not clear how she would be a part of the shooting with her case, prison visits etc.

Lindsay Lohan: ‘I was not drinking nor do I drink!’

Few days ago, some pics were again in circulation in which you could see Lindsay outside a Manhattan club & she was snorting coke off the sidewalk. It was assumed she might have been heavily drunk as well. More importantly, she did violate her probation by ingesting drugs off a New York City sidewalk. Naturally Lindsay Lohan had to speak up & we all know she’s quite a reliable source. She wants people to know that she wasn’t drunk in the photos of her falling down outside the Motor City Bar in Manhattan. It has been reported that she was making sure the sidewalk still smells like hobo urine & cracking jokes on the sidewalk. And you can’t deny there is ample room for possibility.

Anyway, Lindsay says:

“I was NOT drinking, nor do I drink! … I was with my brother, sister and friends. I was making a joke. They’re trying to make something out of nothing…Just because I’m out doesn’t mean I’m drinking.”

It was also reported she just had lots of promiscuous sex with anonymous strangers in the bathroom and couldn’t walk straight. Or, as others have mentioned, she might’ve lost her contact and had to pick it up off a New York City sidewalk with her nose. It seems 14 years old are into reporting these days. How could you possibly presume so much? Excess of anything is bad & I don’t think even Lindsay Lohan will have sex a zillion times in the bathroom. That’s too much of an exaggeration. Fine. She is utterly & terribly lost. And what the fuck do they mean by promiscuous sex?

Moreover, the latest update is that TMZ has obtained the 911 call made by Lindsay Lohan during the nuclear argument she had with Betty Ford staffer Dawn Holland. An argument that turned pretty violent. Dawn says that Lindsay pushed her & hit her with the phone. And when Dawn grabbed the phone to talk to the dispatcher, Lindsay ripped the phone from her hand. Thereby, Lohan succeeded in spraining Dawn’s wrist on December 12th, 2010. We have reasons to believe that Lindsay knows her problems wouldn’t get any worse.

This woman surely needs help.

Lindsay stands a good chance at trial

Legal experts believe that Lindsay has a good chance at trial. Many think she has made a mistake by rejecting the plea deal but legal experts think otherwise.

Ed Hayes believes if the defense is able to produce evidence that supports the claim that Lindsay borrowed the necklace for photo shoot, she stands a fair chance of winning the case.

"Suppose they get a stylist who comes to court and says, 'Lindsay brought me the necklace because we were gonna use it for a shoot, and I forgot to bring it back.' If that's the case, she's gonna get acquitted," he says, adding that if she has a legitimate defense, it shouldn't be difficult to prove.

Lindsay never made any attempt to conceal the item. She was even photographed wearing it & that led to her arrest.

"She wasn't hiding it, she was wearing it, and that's a reason to believe her," he says.

Most probably the jury might buy her story. She has drug & alcohol problem besides having a troubled life, but this doesn’t mean she needs to steal that necklace. She was an easy target.

Lindsay Lohan has decided that she would officially change her name to just Lindsay. This week her father was arrested for domestic abuse & that triggered this decision. In fact, she was thinking about dropping her surname even earlier on but thought no one who would know who she was without her surname.

Popeater reports: “Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay,” Dina tells me, exclusively. “Plus, me and [younger daughter] Ali will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan.”

“So many of the greatest people in showbiz are known by just their first name. Look at Oprah and Beyonce. Now you can add Lindsay to that list,” a family friend tells me. “And it’s a way for them all to start over. No one in the family wants anything to do with Lindsay’s father [Michael Lohan] anymore and that includes sharing a last name.”


Michael Lohan is the man who took nude photos of his ex fiancée Kate Major without her knowledge while she was sleeping & he also sold them. According to Kate, he’s a disgusting man & father. He even attacked & abused her.

Lindsay comes from a dysfunctional family. Now it all makes sense why she has such a troubled life.

Lindsay didn’t take the plea deal

Lindsay Lohan refused to take the plea deal to felony charges as she says she is innocent & she won’t submit to something she hasn’t done. Moreover, she insists that the jewelry store allowed her to borrow the necklace & her assistant returned it to police. Had she accepted the plea deal, she just had to serve 19 days in jail due to overcrowding. Anyway, her lawyer thinks they have a strong case.

“Ms. Lohan has maintained her innocence from the moment this case was filed and she has never wavered,” her attorney, Shawn Holley, said in a statement to E! News. “Though many advised her to follow the safe route by taking ‘the deal’, the truth is, Ms. Lohan is innocent; she has a strong defense; and we are confident that a jury will listen to the evidence fairly and acquit her.”

So now she faces trial. The preliminary hearing is on April 22nd.

Lohan has already been to jail three times in the past three years for DUI, drug possession and probation violations.

I don’t know whether not taking the plea deal is a right decision or not. If she’s truly innocent, then I guess she has made the right choice but then we have a very big if. And if she’s guilty, then she must be punished just like anyone else.

Lindsay Lohan thinking of accepting plea deal

The latest update is that Lindsay is thinking of accepting that 3 month plea deal she was offered, cause leaving her fate in the hand of 12 random people can be risky. Earlier on, she was ready to go to trail, cause she didn’t want to pay the price for something she didn’t do. She seriously thinks she’s innocent. Anyway, she is seriously considering the prison term. Although the official time frame is 3 months, but that could be less than 3 weeks for Lindsay. She just has to be there for 19 days.

The report reveals that if she loses at trial, she could get more than a year in jail for the probation violation. If Lindsay accepts the deal, her attorney must tell the judge on Wednesday.

Moreover, Lindsay has refuted claims that she has started drinking again. However, she has recently been pictured at parties around New York, but according to Lohan, she enjoyed her nights out without a single drop of booze. She told TMZ, "I did not drink... period. I do not drink... period." Alright. We get the picture.

The important news is that the Judge gives Lindsay 2 weeks to decide on plea deal. She has to decide by 23^rd March if she wants to take the plea deal but that means 6 months in prison for sure. If she refuses, then a preliminary hearing will be held on April 22^nd before another judge. Moreover, she also faces possible jail time for violating her probation. Actually theft charge has triggered another charge that she violated her probation for a 2007 drunk driving conviction.

However, the case against her took another twist this week when the jewelry store sold surveillance video, which is key to the prosecution.

The penalty for a felony grand theft conviction ranges from 16 months to three years in a California state prison. The exact term would be based on the value of the property stolen and the criminal record of the defendant.

So this is the story & some people are seriously bothered about her attire. I’m sure she must be under a lot of pressure.
