Miss Universe 2010 - Jimena Navarrete

Miss Universe 2010 was recently held at Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales hosted the event. Last year's Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela crowned the Miss Universe 2010 Winner.


Congratulations to Miss Mexico for being crowned the new Miss Universe 2010. Miss Mexico’s Jimena (Ximena) Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe in Las Vegas Monday night and Tuesday morning here in Manila.

Miss Philippines Maria Venus Raj was one of the most applauded contestants during the event and she even made it to the Top 5.

The 22-year-old woman from Mexico- Jimena Navarrete Rosete has won the Miss Universe 2010 title. Congratulations to New Miss Universe 2010. Miss Universe 2010 Winner- Miss Universe 2010 preliminary was held on August 19th. They are judged by evening gowns, swimsuits and interviews.

Tonight 83 young women from different countries will participate in Miss Universe 2010. The Miss Universe 2010 Pageant will be held at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. And now many are having favorites and coming up with foresight and predictions as to who will be the Miss Universe 2010 Winner and take the Miss Universe crown this year.

Miss Philippines Maria Venus Raj has the loudest cheers from the audience, who were mainly Filipinos and many Filipinos including myself are placing faith and hopes to our very own Venus Raj to bring home the country’s third Miss Universe crown after Gloria Diaz in 1969 and Margie Moran in 1973.

Maria Venus Raj now tops the online survey conducted by The Miss Universe Organization -MUO on the pageant’s website.The online poll puts Venus Raj of the Philippines at the top choice with a rating of 3.58. Next to her is Miss Bolivia Claudia Arce Lemaitre with a rating of 3.06

The world’s largest beauty pageant is being anticipated hugely all over the world. During the Miss Universe 2010 Preliminary, The candidates faced in their swimsuit and evening dresses. Candidates' scores in their swimsuit and evening gown preliminary will be added to their scores during the closed-door preliminary interview which was held yesterday.

Our Very own Maria Venus Bayonito Raj may have had a trembling and nervous beginning to this year’s competition, having been involved in a controversy about her citizenship when she got the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe title and she was dethroned after for allegedly confusing and after she falsify her place of birth in her application for the Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines).
