Rob Lowe shirtless on Vanity Fair Cover!

Rob Lowe’s Vanity Fair Cover can seriously make your day. This man is 47 & still looks really hot without his shirt.

The cover shot has been taken by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.

In the interview for the May edition of the magazine Rob shares extracts from his book Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography.

On Tom Cruise: “He’s open, friendly, funny, and has an almost robotic, bloodless focus and an intensity that I’ve never encountered before,” Lowe remembers. He describes a scene in which he’s taken aback by the accommodations provided for them at a New York City hotel — but because they had to share rooms, Cruise called his agent to make sure it was okay. “Zeroed in like a laser,” is how Lowe describes him at the time.

On Charlie Sheen, whom Rob was rumored to be in the running to replace on Two and a Half Men: he’s a “one-of-a-kind… a Polo preppy clotheshorse in a world of O.P. shorts and surf T-shirts,” and describes his unique personality as “a wonderful mix of nerd… and rebel.” His home, thanks in part to the success of his legendary father Martin Sheen, boasted “never-ending Häagen-Dazs, brand-new BMWs, a lagoon pool with underwater tunnels, and a lit, professional-grade basketball half-court.” Charlie said of Rob: “He’s a buddy of mine, he’s a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get [paid].”

On Patrick Swayze: he’s “as cool as you want, wearing tight jeans and a tattered, sleeveless Harley-Davidson T-shirt revealing his massive, ripped arms. (This is his uniform, he never changes it, and if I looked like him, neither would I.)”

Anyway, it’s pretty obvious that Rob Lowe has only good things to say about people & some media people just don’t like it. They believe he has to work with them, so he can’t say anything mean. I can’t recall Rob Lowe ever getting into shitty episodes. Maybe this is exactly how he feels about them. It’s okay if he doesn’t tell us everything. And why do we always expect some bitchy revelations from celebrities? Moreover, some people also have issues that he’s promoting his book in this interview.

I like Rob Lowe but as such I don’t like this cover. I think he has looked far more sexier & this is just an okay picture. And his blue eyes are very beautiful.

Male Sex Symbols

Here's a look at some of the hottest and sexy male sex symbols that we have come across in the world of entertainment in the past few decades.

1920's - Rudolph Valentino

1930's - Errol Flynn

1930's - Clark Gable one of the biggest super stars ever whom the world remembers for his role in Gone With The Wind. He was considered a sex symbol forever. Women did say he had a bad breath though. Anyway, he kind of reminds me of Raj Kapoor.

1930's - Gary Cooper was loved for his handsome looks and dashing style. He was quite a sophisticated man. He turned down the role for Gone With The Wind, which turned out to be the best role for Clark Gable.

1940's - Cary Grant refused to do the lead role in Lolita because of his puritan morals. Though in his real life he got married 5 times and was not much of puritan to say.

1950's - Elvis Presley - the sexy singer, soldier and actor. He was quite cute too and women loved him no matter what he did.

1950's - James Dean was a different kind of sexy. He is remembered for his role in Giant till this day. Too bad he died at the age of 24 in a tragic accident. I think he was damn hot.

1950's - Rock Hudson was one sexy man who was adored by both men and women alike. He was a homosexual and so appealed to both genders. He died because of AIDS and he was the first celebrity to announce he was dying because of AIDS. He was a very brave and talented man besides being so handsome.

1960's - Paul Newman the sexiest man ever. He was also known for his generosity and his work as a philanthropist.

1960's - Robert Redford is another unforgettable sexy man. No one can forget his name when we have to mention the most sexy people ever. He was known for bravely doing his stunts himself but he made sure his stunt men get paid even then.

1980's - Harrison Ford was a different kind of sexy who took over suddenly with his role as Han Solo in Star Wars series after which he got the unforgettable role of Indiana Jones. It is said he became a star over night although he didn't do well in movies earlier and was focusing on carpentry.

1980's - Patrick Swayze is sadly no more alive amongst us because he died of cancer recently but he was a sensation in the 80's era both on small screen and big screen. He was a tv artist and was loved for his role in North and South series. He also worked in great movies such as Red Dawn, Dirty Dancing and Ghost.

1990's - Brad Pitt was the ultimate super sexy discovery of the 90's. He was not only appreciated for his sexy looks but also for his outstanding acting skills.

1990's - George Clooney is considered the sexiest man alive today. Also particularly famous for his preference of staying single forever. The man got married once and is often in relationships but he does not want to marry or have children. His friends Nicole Kidman and Michelle Pfeiffer both lost $10,000 when they lost the bet that Clooney will father a child before his 40th birthday. He sent back their money betting that he wouldn't have any kids even when he will be 60 putting a double bet this time.

 2000 - Robert Pattinson

2000 - Taylor Lautner I don't know why he is considered so sexy but anyway people think this way.

Link House

In Contention on another 'Year of the Woman.'
Acidemic's wildly surprising top ten. Erich is his own man as a critic. Which is why I like reading him.
BoingBoing life size wax figure of Patrick Swayze in Road House. No really.
Playbill if you're in NYC for the holidays, a ton of good shows are closing. Here's your last chance to see them.
Movie|Line Mike Ryan looks back at his year interviewing celebrities.
The Wrap 25 new films for the National Historic Registry including A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and The Exorcist.
Chateau Thombeau Joan Crawford in a loud dress. (love the punchline)

And now from the completely random department,  Ranker has a list of the "steamiest incestuous relationships on film" a perfect topic for the, uh, holidays? The list has a surprising amount of good films on it (from Chinatown --um the incest is not steamy. Ewww! -- to The Lion King (yes, really) to The Dreamers). But the obvious exclusion, and you can't really make a list this specific without including it is Close My Eyes which features a very young and constantly naked Clive Owen as a man who just really loves his big sister. Do you love Clive Owen? Like a brother or...

Where he be anyway?

Patrick Swayze

It seems all the brilliant artists are dying. Ghost has been my all time favorite movie & I also liked the series of North & South. I still remember that I watched Dirty Dancing when I was in 8th grade at a friend’s place on her birthday.

His death is indeed tragic. He became extremely weak & a bag of bones due to his illness. May his soul rest in peace. And we’re going to miss him bad.
