
Boxing Superstar Manny "pacman" Pacquiao was invited to the White House and stopped traffic outside the White House in Washington D.C. during a courtesy visit last Tuesday-Febuary 15. Traffic moved slowly because many people recognized Manny Pacquiao.
According to reports, U.S. President Barack Obama welcomes Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee Pacquiao. Obama shook Pacquiao’s hands and told him that he was a fan of him. Manny Pacquiao together with wife Jinky had a private lunch with the US president at the White House. They also received bags of M&M's chocolates and Manny received a watch from President Obama with the US presidential seal while Pacquiao gave Obama a pair of boxing trunks. Obama and Pacquiao posed for photos including a boxing pose in the Oval Office.
Pacquiao was the first Filipino Boxer who was invited at the White House and the meeting was made by U.S. Senator Harry Reid.
According to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz, Pacquiao invited U.S. President Obama to his upcoming fight against Shane Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas but Michael Koncz said U.S. President Obama can’t watch the May 7 fight live, but Obama promised to watch on television.
