ang soo hoon, celine ng, celine ng swee peng:"Decomposed body at Clementi: woman charged with murder"

A 36-year-old derivatives trader has been charged with the murder of Celine Ng Swee Peng, whose decomposed body was found in Clementi Woods Park on July 6.

Ang Soo Hoon, who was Ng's housemate, is accused of killing the 37-year-old property agent at West Coast Crescent's West Bay Condominium between 3am and 9.50am on May 26.

The boyish, bespectacled Ang, looked worried when the charge was read out to her.

She appeared as though she had been crying and avoided eye contact with some 30 members of the public seated in the gallery, most of them believed to be Ng's friends.

Before last week's gruesome discovery, it was reported that Ng had been missing since her birthday on May 26.

She was last seen at West Coast Crescent in a purple top and black pants.

Ang will be remanded at the Central Police Division with permission to bring her out for further investigations. Read More

Headline News Casey Anthony: Dan Abrams And Nancy Grace Clash Over Casey Anthony Trial’s Closing Arguments

Happy 4th of July, kittens! Speaking of fireworks and awkward time spent with family… Mediaite founder and ABC legal analyst Dan Abrams and HLN’s Nancy Grace to discuss closing arguments in the captivating Casey Anthony trial.

Abrams took a look at the judge’s decision to not permit the defense to mention its theory that George Anthony, Casey’s father, sexually abused her, which somehow resulted in her “inappropriate” behavior following the death of her daughter:
Well, first of all, I think it was the right ruling, meaning the defense had presented no evidence up to that point that that had happened. And when you don’t present any evidence, you can’t bring it in the closing arguments. But, secondly, I think it may have helped the defense. The more they argue about George Anthony, the more they point at her father, the weaker their case gets.
So I think the fact that they weren’t able to go off on what I view as a tangent actually may have helped the defense’s case.
The segment’s money quote belongs to Nancy Grace. She weighed in on the harsh language used by defense attorney José Baez during his closing arguments by noting that “being a liar and a slut is pretty much legal in every jurisdiction in this country.”
Later, she called Abrams’ assessment of the judge’s ruling his “spin,” opining that he was trying to put a good face on it where the defense was concerned and that this is “crazy.”
The two then began to argue about the merits of addressing the defense’s theory that Anthony had been abused by both her father and her brother, with Grace at one point exclaiming “Uh Uh!” as Abrams attempted to offer his rebuttal.
We also got to learn a fun fact about Grace’s young children:
Dan, my three-year-olds have imaginary friends! One is named Samuel Pocket and he lives in a tree with the Joker, of Batman.

Is Nancy Grace The Media Face Of Casey Anthony's Trial? ~ [casey anthony, cnn, casey anthony case, casey anthony trial, headline news]

Since the beginning, when Caylee Marie Anthony was just a missing child - HLN's Nancy Grace has been covering this case with a definite negative slant toward Casey Anthony. In fact, Nancy Grace is better known for referring to Casey as "tot mom" rather than by her real name. I have thought for years now, that when most people here the name Casey Anthony the next two things that come to their mind are "child killer" and "Nancy Grace".

Whether she wants the title of being the media face of the Casey Anthony case or not - Nancy Grace is the one person, outside of the courtroom, most people think about. So what will Nancy Grace do when the Casey Anthony murder trial ends? My guess is that she will find another story that is similar in nature and begin covering it. However, it will be a long time before another case as popular as this one comes along. Read More

Couple Leave Baby in Hot Car while in Strip Club – Then Complain about Heat in Police Car after Arrest

(Daily Mail Reporter) — A couple who allegedly left their son in a hot car while they were inside a strip club later complained about the heat of the police car they were being driven away in, a Kentucky court has heard.

Thomas Lee

Laura Diprimo and Thomas Lee both claimed they were innocent of any wrongdoing while appearing in court on charges of wanton endangerment

Police officers claim emergency services had to be called last week after they received a report that an infant boy was alone in a car near the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Longfield Avenue, Louisville.

The tip off came from an anonymous caller who also told police that the couple had being seen going inside a nearby strip club.

When officers arrived at the scene, around 11pm, they saw a Chevy Impala parked where the caller had said, and the boy inside. He was crying and sweating and in distress.

The court heard that at that point, 43-year-old Laura Diprimo, listed as the child’s mother and employed by the club, allegedly ran out of the strip club and jumped in the car, lowering the windows.

It is an assertion that Diprimo denied at a preliminary court hearing. She claims that she was with the boy at all times and was in the car when the police arrived, insisting: ‘I did not leave my son in the car.’

The boy’s father, 28-year-old Thomas W. Lee, told the judge: ‘I would never do that to my baby boy, I love him.’

Police claim Lee was seen walking out of the strip club after they arrived. He was wearing an ankle bracelet, as he was supposed to be under home arrest in Clark County, Indiana.

The arrest report says that, despite the incident happening late at night, the heat index at the time of the incident was 91 degrees.

It indicates that the child had been left alone in the car for at least 10-15 minutes.

Both Diprimo and Lee were arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, and the court heard that - while en route to the jail - Lee even complained about the heat in the back of the police car.

Probation authorities say Lee was already in trouble for charges relating to the child and Diprimo.
