The Bahamas in Technicolor

and I miss it so much. Can’t wait to post pictures and make all mah followers jeal. :) Here is a preview.

Today i got a taste of what Costa Rica rain is like. My father would LOVE this. It was so loud that i could not hear the person beside me or across from me talk. It was hard to hear myself talk. Class was pretty uneventful as was most of the day. I recently found out that there is a problem with my passport. CR customs granted me 30 days to stay in CR but i’ve registered with my school to stay for 43 days (six weeks plus one day). I have to got back to the airport tomorrow to see if they will correct it. I hope so.

I’m sure that anyone one who knows the slightest bit of Spanish knows that Latin America doesn’t use the 2nd person plural form (vosotros) of verbs; only Spain does. But did you know that Costa Rica uses neither the 2nd person plural nor the 2nd person singular (tu) forms for their verbs? I haven’t decided whether that will be advantageous for me or not.

Tomorrow i have a cooking activity after class and i’ll be sure to pay attention. I’m not a cook, i’m a baker, but i happen to know a certain follower who might enjoy this a lot even if she prefers French and Asian cultures :P

Here’s where I’m going.

See you in 1.5 weeks :D

This is where i am going:

And this is what i am doing:
 P.s That’s my Daddy. He’s a BAMF.

I just got back today from one of the highlights of my summer now, the bahamas celebration cruise for my grandparents 40th anniversary. It was great seeing them on vacation as they never do (because they had 3 dogs and now only one but their dog has all sorts of problems and isn’t friendly at all), I mean they last time they went anywhere together was for my parents wedding which was 15 years ago. But I could see they were really excited and had a lot of fun and I’m really happy for them. On first day we didn’t leave for the Bahamas until 5 or 6. I hung out with my family until about 10 or 11 and it was so great because these two attractive guys (stephen and tyler, both from Arkansas) who looked close to my age passed by and said “Hey”

and I was all like

and then they turned around the corner and I was like welp, never gonna find them again. If you have ever been on a cruise then you know that they usually have “teen/kids clubs”,where you meet other kids and hangout. Well, I didn’t really have the confidence to go in there so I passed by it about 3 times before taking up the courage to go in and honestly; I’m so glad I did. Within next couple of seconds I saw those two guys from earlier and made friends with them and three other people as well ( Faith from Arkansas, Courtney and Courtney’s little brother who’s name i never caught from Indiana). Then within the next couple of minutes we all went to get pizza and ran around the boat. Before I knew it we all were friends, I met another person (Isiah from Ohio) and two other black guys ( which one, I might add, was a really great dancer), 2 guys were interested in me, Stephen got some with Courtney, Everyone thought me and Isiah did stuff ( which we did Not), Tyler was pissed because me and Isiah spent a really long time together, and the last ones up at the end of the night were me and Tyler. We stayed up till 5 Am and were gonna watch the sunset but then my mom came up and freaked out because she didn’t know where I was. But overall the first day/night was fun. I made friends, sunbathed, drank a little, ran around, had some deep conversations and at the end of the two found out that 2 guys liked me.

Now I bid you adieu considering it’s 4 Am and I’m probably going to pass out while watching Arrested Development. Tomorrow I will write about the second and third day of the cruise

xx

I just finished directing the post-production for Silver Series, Invisible Children’s

Bahamas, Oh how I miss you :( … Taken by me.

Today was the first day that we all got to be together! My cousin and aunt, our family’s exchange student, and of course my parents and brother.  We spent the day at Breezes, an all inclusive resort closer to the down town area here in the Bahamas.  The day pass included food, alcohol, a huge pool area, wind surfing, sailing, trapeze lessons, and of course SUN! haha.  Mafe, Brenna and my brother Simon and I took a catamaran out for an hour or so, the water was so pretty! I love the ocean.

Then the girls took wind surfing lessons which is a lot harder than you might think!! Brenna and Mafe were able to stand up and surf for a couple feet before falling over haha.

Unfortunately half way through the day I stepped on a piece of glass that cut right through the bottom of my foot :( but thank god it didn’t hold back any of the day’s activities and I didn’t need stitches.

Later in the day after lunch the trapeze opened up!! Brenna, Mafe, Simon and I all climbed up a 35 foot ladder (btw the we were NOT harnessed in at all until we reached the top of the ladder) Unfortunately Simon was the only one who was able to flip his legs over the bar but Brenna and I did do a back flip!! I was really proud of my self for climbing up and going first!

Tomorrow my family gets to board the ship for a special parents welcome dinner! Brenna and I will be joining all the SAS students at senior frogs!

I found out that Brenna and I are in room 3311, third deck in the very front of the ship.  According to Brenna its in the ghetto and after seeing some pictures I would agree. Its is soooo small compared to the already super small rooms I have seen and we have to have bunk beds :( our bathroom is only big enough for one person to stand in and lets not even mention the shower space…

I guess this will give Brenna and I a good excuse to not be in the room! We can spend time meeting new people and studying!

Sailing on the catamaran!

Underwater pics :)

Trapeze!!
