Suicide Bombing Again?

Needless to say the Muslims who are clear on their understanding of Islam would agree to the fact that suicide bombing is not an act that is allowed to be performed. And here by Muslims I don’t mean religious scholars and preachers – I am talking about the common people. There are some basic fundamental teachings that we cherish because Islam talks about peace. So do all the other religions around the globe. And suicide bombing was never a part of these learnings.

I do not remember us being taught that we have the right to call another Muslim a non-Muslim. In fact, we were clearly told that he is not a Muslim who calls another Muslim a kafir. We don’t have the right to judge and decide on who is practicing what and his/her religious inclinations. Our aim should be to focus on our lives and ensure we are fulfilling our role and responsibilities as a true Muslim and we will get so busy, we wouldn’t get the time to think about others in the first place.

Another thing, we as kids were told that committing suicide is wrong in Islam because God gave us this life and He shall take it away as, when and how He has decided. Besides that hurting yourself is too not permissible.

And suicide bombing is certainly not a part of Islam. Some ignorant fools have this belief that they should kill themselves in the name of God and kill others who don’t deserve to be alive while doing so – suicide bombing. And this is jehad and they are shaheeds. This looks like an absurd thought with no logic. Hurting yourself is not allowed, killing someone else is not allowed, calling another a non-Muslim is not allowed, yet they go on doing things and call it Islam. You can just pull your hair! It makes no sense.

Years ago we read Talibans and Usama bin Laden were the enemies of USA. But now their list of enemies have grown. They are everywhere doing what they do best. And even Pakistan itself has become so disturbed by their presence. It is so weird every other day we hear news updates on bomb blasts. People are just dying.

It is so upsetting that yesterday, in Lahore another suicide bombing took place to get rid of Allama Sarfaraz Ahmed Naeemi – who was a renowned religious scholar who openly condemned that Talibans and their ways were un Islamic. And so they chose a Friday and got the scholar down along with others who definitely didn’t deserve to die because they had gone to pray. How can this be right?

So the madness of Talibans is spreading. And people who have the courage to stand up and speak their mind openly against them are targeted to spread fear among the rest. Does this mean people should stop going to mosques for prayers, do we stop going for shopping in the market, do we stop sending kids to schools…because they seem to be everywhere for their so called jihad. And when will this shit end?

Grudge of Lady N got the Talibans!

Nadzy now although you do remember that I created this grudge story with you and you wrote something totally different with the concept of grudge so I will just scribble how I wanted things to be.

Now, there is a cat lady N who madly loved the cats. All she saw were the 3000 cats that lived with her. Then one day the Talibans came and said cats no more. So N got angry, she tossed her head right and left. Then she killed all the 3000 cats.

And then another grudge developed. Talibans came and found lady N sitting like the kid Toshiooooooooooo on the door. And then lady N and the grudge got the Talibans finally!

Talibans were no more. The grudge of lady N survived though.

How much is too much?

I haven’t been in a very good mood today, so I thought why not write something on Taliban. Yesterday they kidnapped 500 students. How do they manage to do all this in somebody else’s country? That’s actually a mind-boggling question.

There are in the newspapers every day. Sometimes they are even being killed. I don’t know if that’s good news. The other day I read that an infant died as there was no water. His parents were getting away from the damn area on foot. Since there was no water, the baby died. He was 2 month old. The lovers of Taliban can call it anything, but I call it murder.

I have been thinking if dysfunctional is the right word for them. Or they are just plain crazy. They persecute in the name of religion. They say that they are on some sort of jihad. Of course they are trying to prove something, which only they can decipher themselves.

Few months ago, they also flogged a female in Swat. And the way those men were holding that female…that was quite weird. Everything about them is so weird. And yet these lunatics have some kind of support.

It seems we have a set of mad people who are trying hard to tell us something. It’s like…we have some questions…we don’t have any answer…and there are some really dangerous crazy people out there who just love to kill, kidnap, & torture others who aren’t following them.

Since I don’t like them at all, it doesn’t matter how my words are taken.

Blind followers

Taliban have always been a prime pain. Writing such articles also attract wrong kind of attention. People are ever ready to lynch those who have the guts to say what they think. In fact, I have seen that people are always waiting to lynch those who write on controversial topics. There are things that people don’t have the guts to admit themselves & when they see others talking about it, they go off their heads.

Zia-ul-Haq is definitely responsible for this mess. In fact, he’s responsible for a lot of other things like making a joke out of the statute book & the constitution. And these Afghans don’t belong here. Whatever mess they want to create, they can do that in their own country. I just hope the government does something & get rid of them once & for all.

I’m very sorry to say but I have seen that mostly people do not go through the translation & interpretation of the Holy Quran. When you don’t know the meaning, nobody can help you. And there are always individuals who want dogs to follow them. By mentioning dogs over here, I’m insulting such a loyal animal. It’s not just Taliban who can brainwash. I have seen some educated people who want blind followers & they get them. Tony Blair was not the only dog. It’s just that media didn’t spare me. However we see such dogs everywhere. I’ve seen such kind of dogs & individuals in real life. And they want everyone to follow them. The thing with Taliban is that they have been more successful.

Taliban have been created by those who are complaining, cause somewhere something went wrong. When you hurt people & take them for granted, evil folks always emerge out of no where to take undue advantage of the situation & those who have been wronged follow them.

What I don’t like about Taliban is that they have no right to besmear Islam. They also think they are the staunch upholders of some crazy ideas. Islam is not about inflicting pain on others. Taliban have been giving wrong messages.

Someone very rightly said:

“They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it is not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.”

It’s just a thought…Those who don’t agree…don’t start pulling your hair.

The Lost

I was going through a couple of magazines and papers a while ago and a majority of articles were written on Talibans. It's like Talibans have become such an integral part of our lives. Talibans is one of those international courses that everyone has to take whether you like it or not. Mandatory stuff is often not so exciting if I am not wrong.

Although I read a lot and watch a lot of news and TV. But somehow over the years Talibans is one topic I have hated to read or watch...but like I said certain things can never be ignored.

I often hear people around me discuss that in Pakistan it was during Zia ul Haq's time that the seeds of Talibans were sown and now things have become so ugly. But then they are very much there in other parts of the world as well.

I was thinking, may be I could be wrong but isn't Talibanization also an institution. And the way it has spread like wild fire it is a very strange sort of a web. It appears to be an institution, nurtured, cherished and taught with zest over the years. I really don't know how the traditions and teachings are passed on but it seems to be quite a strong ritual. I mean I always thought the biggest task is to inculcate something into one's mind to bring an overall change in the long run. It is not so easy a task.

It's always more difficult to change the mind, the thinking and the views. Even, as we call it brain washing the minds of the innocent or the not so intelligent who do not know the difference between right and wrong - how is it that the Talibans are able to brain wash in such a strong way in such a small span of time.

For instance, if we just take an example that there is a 17 year old Muslim boy. At the age of 17, most Muslims are at least aware of all the Islamic rituals and traditions. Praying 5 times a day, being kind and helpful to others, respecting the elders, fasting during the holy month of Ramzan, committing suicide is a sin, equality of both the genders etc ... these are just the basics. I mean almost every Muslim is aware of such things. Almost every Muslim.

I was just wondering then how come Talibans preach in a manner that all the basics are forgotten absolutely! Wiped out completely! Even if the kids are confused how is it possible that there is such a strong followership that these kids willingly give their lives just to hurt others and call it jihad.

Many such incidents lead to the killings of other Muslims only. And how can one Muslim kill another and call it jihad? In fact, who gives one the right to take any other human being's life away just because you feel they are not following your beliefs.

Who gives one such a strong authority?

Talibans just seem so lost. The confusion is growing. But the sad part is that bad things always grow and spread on a much faster pace than the good things!
