Nothing is what it seems

Thanks to yellow journalism, we get to know half-baked stories & truth as ever is guarded by lies. Everyone who is killed is projected as saint whereas the real events that led to the crime are hidden. No one has the right to kill anyone how people are being killed in Pakistan. There is no justification for murder & other heinous crimes. At the same time, no one has the right to take the law in his hand & punish those who are guilty. But we are an illiterate nation & not just that, compassion is totally missing.

Now quite frankly, one doesn’t know the real story. However, we have been passionately supporting Muneeb, Mugheez & Sarfaraz Shah. The manner in which they have been killed is absolutely unacceptable but the circumstances that led to the actual crime had never been properly highlighted. Everyone turns out to be a dacoit. It’s hard to believe the zillion stories that circulate.

I once wrote on this rape case in which a woman was raped twice in the same week by different men. Naturally I was quite pissed off & the story was disturbing. But after 3 weeks or so, I discovered through a reliable source that she was never raped. Along with her husband, she plotted against these men.

It’s very difficult to tell who is innocent & who has been wronged. And the kind of media we have, everything turns into something else. Instead of reporting, they prefer giving opinions & distorting the real story.

Almost 8 years ago, I gave up my research on JJSO, cause again through some source, I got info that made me question as to why I had been supporting certain juvenile offenders. I even gave up writing letters in the newspaper, cause I didn’t know if I had been supporting right kind of people. It really pricks your conscience when you support those who are guilty.

We may never come to know the real story, thanks to our media. And my sister very rightly said that we should stay away from these Pakistani stories.

Youth shot dead by rangers in Karachi

Again a young man has been killed by rangers in Karachi. Sarfaraz Shah was quite young & they are painting him as a professional criminal.Almost a year ago Muneeb & Mugheez were brutally murdered by monsters & justice has not been delivered so far & here we have another case in which this boy is killed by rangers. You could see video footage of this murder as well.

The boy was arrested in Benazir Bhutto Park. According to the rangers, he was involved in dacoity. However, his family is saying that he went to the park for outing. Whatever the reason is, the rangers have no right to killed someone just like that. His brother Salik Shah is a reporter & the journalists held a protest at the chief minister’s house. Moreover, I just don’t buy this shitty story. They are saying that a family had been held hostage by some dacoit in the park. When the rangers asked him to surrender, he refused point blank & they just shot him. It is also reported that he even grabbed the weapons of the security forces. It doesn’t seem so from the video that this young man was such a big threat or he was even involved in robbing. Plus, he was begging for his life.

Naturally we can’t expect much when security forces instead of protecting people go around killing innocent folks. Sarfaraz just like Muneeb & Mugheez seemed innocent but we will have zillions of stories questioning his innocence as well.

I’m not surprised cause I’m from a country where such things happen every now & then. Some pull the trigger & kill you. Some make sure you kill yourself. Life happens to be really cheap & we have no clue as to what is justice. Might is right & life is cheap. Although various political parties have condemned this incident but so what? This thing will happen again. There is no compassion whatsoever. Even ordinary people never think twice before hurting anyone with their words & deeds, & I have written this particular thing a zillion times. They may not kill you but they wouldn’t mind if you commit suicide either; then they will have more fun judging you.

Even though video of this murder is available online but do not expect much. Justice is not for the common man. And it’s also amazing that someone or the other is always making video. A day will come when we will feel nothing after watching such videos. As it is we are already dead.

Eid Mubarak!

Wishing all my Muslim friends and all the Muslims around the world a very happy and peaceful Eid. Hope the Eid will bring joys and bless your lives. More importantly, I pray in these times, that we all stay safe.

Like always Ramzan went by so quickly. I cherished it spiritually but our realities tell us to be in misery, fear and sadness. I hope that the people who lost their loved ones in the plane crash have more courage to move on in life in the least painful way, if there is ever a less painful way. Miss my friend Ali a lot and I hope his wife Kiran and son Rayyan will make it through strongly.

It was in this Ramzan, that the world saw how two innocent brothers were brutally beaten to death while barbarians made videos of their misery. Hope their family will find justice as they wished. Their pain is unbearable to imagine. But our prayers are with the family.

And then the losses of the man made floods...though people in general have done a lot to make a difference. One mistake in Pakistan only breeds to more. We do not know what it will bring ahead.

This month, however, our tennis player Aisam did quite well internationally and Pakistanis realized this is the new sport to go crazy about, and thus facebook status updates are now updated in the same peculiar fashion :P although he was there for many years and has improved with time. He qualified in the finals of both mixed doubles and mens doubles with his partners of the US Open championship. Brings us pride. His speech was peaceful and honest.

Lamhai-e-Fikria

To begin with I am glad that the two boys Muneeb and Mugheez were declared as innocent by the court. At least, the boys are given back their respect and honor, which influential thugs and liars with no principles or character tried to dishonor. And now I look forward to some just justice. May the demented barbarians get the punishment. Perhaps, in this case God is truly with His innocent two humans who were brutally murdered. Otherwise, in a country where everything is going wrong from top to bottom, it is rare and surprising to see such a thing.

My friend said, he goes to PAF Base often after Iftari to help. Volunteers are few and the numbers are shrinking. However, he himself who helps and goes out of the way as a true Pakistani and Muslim to help the flood victims says the IDPs are behaving in a weird way. They don't move their ass to help themselves and want everything to be done for them. I understand they lost everything. They don't want to do anything for themselves. I don't want to be too harsh here...I just see a very fixed mindset from top to the bottom. And we tend to be indifferent to these things. We ignore it all. But this has all led to this mess.

Similarly, I was hearing this show on radio. The host taking live calls and talking to people about their views on Pakistan and what is happening these days. Even last night, Lahore witnessed bomb blasts at a religious procession and firing in Karachi. Again people died. Some more lives lost, many left behind in pain and hopelessness. The host was down and upset. He said rightly that it seems like we are running in a tunnel and we can see the light at the end of it but we are not sure how long is this tunnel. Besides, it is true we don't know when will it all stop. Many callers said, it is our fault as humans. We need to mind our business and correct ourselves but we focus more on disturbing others. Some people blamed the authorities, which is typical, but then again it was pointed out that true we don't know what the authorities want...but do we know what we want? The host was Saher Lodhi :) Many people hate him...but I agree with many things he say at times when he is serious.

USA has stopped giving student visas to Pakistanis now in light of everything that's happening or because they can't help being biased and typical.

People are loving how beautiful Angelina Jolie is helping flood victims and not doing much themselves. I have seen many actors tweet about helping Pakistan and the victims, which is kind of them. They don't really have to do this.

However, it is our battle and we need to fight it. Yeh hai Lamhai-e-Fikria!

Butt brothers declared innocent.

The judicial inquiry has declared both the brothers as innocent. The evidence had been tampered. The medical officer & the investigation officer destroyed the vital evidence in this case. However, it has been proved that the murdered brothers are not robbers. It is said that stern action will be taken against both the medical officer & the investigation officer.

Sailkot Police & Rescue 1122 are blaming each other while recording statements. Rescue 1122 suspended officials say that they repeated ask the police to take the custody of Muneeb & Mughees. And that the police arrived after quite a delay. Due to this delay, the already mad crowd became so mad that they grabbed the 2 boys from them & lynched them to death.

The police is saying that it was cowardice on the part of Rescue 1122 that led to this horrifying event.

A very complicated story?

Is the Sialkot tragedy really a very complicated story or are the facts being hidden from the common citizen?

The latest report says that all police officials involved in the Sialkot incident have strong links with PML-N government. And this fact has been uncovered by the investigation, which still continues. Almost every officer who is involved has no fear of high-ups as they have either direct or indirect affiliation with PML-N parliamentarians.

Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema (DIG at that time) is the younger brother of Justice Iftikar Cheema, the current PML-N MNA from that area. Waqar Chohan (DPO) is also from an influential family. Rana Ilyas (SHO) has strong ties with the local PML-N leadership.

Moreover, Punjab Chief Minster Shahbaz Sharif has a habit of directly inferring with the working bureaucracy & the Police department. And this is an old habit of the Sharif family.

These are some of the facts that cannot be denied unless of course people involved blatantly lie or deny the facts. What actually triggered the tragedy is still shrouded in mystery. But we have one thing (the gruesome video) that confirms that on August 15, monsters lynched to death 2 innocent boys of 15 & 17. Some people are still painting Muneeb & Mughees as robbers & that they shot Bilal & 3 other guys. There have been a couple of cases against Bilal. Anyone could have shot him. Muneeb & Mughees were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Even if it would be proved that Muneeb & Mughees are hard-core criminals, I will take their side, cause this is no way of killing humans. The crazy mob not just brutally killed them, but also insulted their dead bodies by hanging them upside down.

There is only one thing that I haven’t been able to understand…why Muneeb & Mughees were allowed to play cricket in that criminally infested area where crime rate was so high? Why did their parents allow kids of just 15 & 17 to visit that place every Sunday? They were just 15 & 17, not 25 & 27. How could any parent allow children to visit such places & that too every Sunday? Moreover, the media doesn’t also openly uncover the facts behind that cricket match fight.

Anyhow, the gruesome video is in itself an excellent evidence against all those monsters. All we need is a good prosecutor & the killers will be hanged for sure. Some people are demanding eye for an eye…now that is not possible. The law is not that blind. The guilty ones will inshaallah be punished.

Some people are saying that we should leave this to God. See, God also doesn’t give anything on a platter. Humans need to work hard. As my kid sister says that here God has already helped those 2 boys…the video has driven people mad. Lots of bad incidents have happened in Pakistan, but this is the 1st time, that people are speaking against this brutality, because that video can neither be ignored nor forgotten.

Before I forget, cause it’s not that important…yesterday I saw Aashiq lady taking a U-turn on 50 minutes. I couldn’t believe my ears…few days ago, she said those boys were not nice & she was on the side of the villagers, but yesterday she had condemned that incident openly. I think it’s about time she should also give gold crown to Sania Mirza’s husband. She should have been fired the day she insulted Kashmaala on the national TV. I don’t understand why she’s still around…maybe they want her to make statements & then change her very statements after 2 days.

The mother & wife of Bilal were 100 % sure that Muneeb & Mughees killed Bilal & Zeeshan. And that people mentioned in the FIR were at the hospital, so they couldn’t have lynched Muneeb & Muhees. The mother repeated this a couple of times & that says a lot. If the villagers & the relatives of Bilal were not there, then who were those monsters? It’s very easy to buy witnesses any where in the world.

More than 1400 people have signed the petition…if you haven’t signed the petition as yet, please sign it now. This is one way of helping Muneeb & Muhees get justice. And please do not forget that as Muslims we are supposed to speak against this inhuman act.

Enough is enough

For more than 10 years, I’ve been doing research on the abused laws. I know people in our country are brutally killed every day. People have always been creative in killing each other. Beyond any doubt, we are a very fucked up nation. Even on my blog, I’ve written about incidents which many didn’t even notice as the media wasn’t shouting. But just because people were not protesting earlier on doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t protest ever.

Many are still asleep, & many are not surprised & neither they want any one else to be surprised. Many can’t step outside their heads, cause they’ve never done it before. Many still don’t care. However, there are countless who want justice for Muneeb & Mughees. I think it’s better to wake up now, then never. It’s always better to use your brain cells than be influenced by those who don’t like to be surprised ever. What happened in Sialkot could happen anywhere in Pakistan. It’s our duty as the citizen of Pakistan & as Muslims to speak against evil. If we haven’t done that in the past, we can start off now. Fuck everyone else! Do what you believe you must do. Take a stand, cause it’s surely going to make a difference.

Now what actually triggered the Sialkot tragedy? I do not know how authentic this piece of info is, but you can do the math quite easily. Up til now we have heard about this cricket fight. It has been reported on one of the channels that the guy they had a fight with in a cricket match was actually the son of a Nazim who belonged to PPP. That Aashiq lady who is from the same party said that she is on the side of the villagers, as Muneeb & Mughees were robbers & what the villagers did was right. Fat people are invariably quite funny. In a barbaric country where even the educated folks are really illiterate & are not surprised till their own kids are being stoned to death, what can you expect of villagers? When you fight with some hotshot’s son, you might be lynched to death.

It all makes sense now. However all kinds of stories will keep on circulating. We may never get to know the true story. But no one has the right to brutally kill anyone & that anyone includes the minority, the Ahmedis, robbers, murderers & hard-core criminals. No one is above law.

More than 60 people have been arrested. The corrupt policemen too are in the custody. 4, 5 accused have gone to Iran. People are protesting. We all want justice for these 2 boys. It’s going to be a long fight, but justice can be ensured.

Justice - Kindly Prevail

I can't tend to stop writing about the Sialkot incident enough. I want to see how this tragedy will receive justice. More importantly, will it receive justice or not for that matter. It is the least we could do to raise our voices. I wrote a piece just a while ago. Some former family planning minister of Sialkot area how she thinks that the two brothers are being painted very nicely by the media. She is with the villagers and claims the boys were robbers and that media is being too kind to them, where as they were robbers who robbed people every weekend.

I watch this programme on a news channel every now and then by a renowned journalist Najam Sethi. He gives sensible answers and talks about the realities logically. Today's program was also covering the incident of the Sialkot brothers. He revealed that it is the norm in this district that people have taken the law in their hands. Besides, extremely corrupt police officers were placed there who were often given medals for not doing anything. He says that since the entire culture of Sialkot is so corrupt, innocent lives were bound to get lost in some tragic incident. This culture was nurtured for a long time, which ultimately ended up in this ugly incident. Najam Sethi commented that police officers incharge such as some Cheema guy used to talk in the same language keh ulta tangaaaa dia jayee gaaa. And this is exactly what we saw. Looks like this was the normal thought process of every person residing there...they have this very strong sense of providing justice!

Many people called to say that this video should no longer be aired as it hurts them. However, just like I keep saying, the Najam Sethi painfully said that he saw the entire footage and it disturbed himself. But this is the truth, only truth will create fear and people will ask for justice only if they see how brutal the truth was. Anyway, now the videos are not fully shown. Media feels whatever they have shown has created enough sentiments. Many callers, one from USA called. He had seen the video and he was crying because he found it so disturbing. Some person from Gujranwala called and said that just a while ago the two boys were killed and then today again there is serious fight going on there and the police is not present there and people are killed again.

The good news that I came to know through this programme is that a new, honest police officeri is in incharge from yesterday in the entire district. He is Tariq Masood Yaseen. He is believed to be a true practitioner of ensuring that law is not broken. He informed that CID is looking at the crime part of this incident and will complete report in 2 days. Besides, more than 60 people involved have been arrested. Also similarly, police officials who are responsible for not ensuring that law is respected will be dealt with too. He also said, that it is time for reformation. And they will ensure the system is reformed.

It is a long way to go for reformation I believe. But, I would love to see justice. I want to see some sort of change. Give us a good shock! Surprise us! Justice kindly prevail now!

Justice in a Lost Nation

Finally I see a real picture of these two brothers Munib (15 years) and Mugheez (17 years). All the pictures and videos I watched showed terrible and horrifying images. Even if the boys ever did anything wrong, the way they died would have cleared all their sins.

I just read the fuckers have given a news update, that the boys shot someone during the cricket match. The villagers got the boys along with the shot person to rescue 1122 office to hand them over to the police, but the police arrived very late. By that time, that person had died. And then the villagers got very angry and started beating them till they were dead.

I think this is one of the most fucked up things I have read today. For a second even if in a match a quarrel took place and one person was shot...why did they kill two people. Two people cant shoot one person. And even if they got mad at the dead person, who was not really in the picture before, why did they keep on beating them for so long that they died. And then they were hung like dead animals. And now what happened to that woman who was saying, they were robbers they killed her husband.

It just shows, we are so fucked up. A nation of liars. I don't know if this is how justice will be served. Only God's wrath will teach this nation a lesson.

Justice for the 2 innocent boys

Some incidents just leave one speechless – this is certainly one of them. We need to protest against this horrendous act. Morons have been killing robbers in Karachi & people kept mum about it. At that time, they were killing criminals & now they have gone ahead in Sailkot, they have started killing innocent teenagers.

This has been the most horrifying incident in which humans have crossed all the boundaries of insanity. No one has the right to kill anyone & here these people killed 2 innocent boys right in front of some corrupt policemen & countless other silent spectators. Who has given them the authority to torture humans in the 1st place? Culprits ought to be punished no matter what. These boys were just teenagers (aged 15 & 17). That’s the time when one wants to experience all the beautiful. That’s not the time to be lynched by morons & that too on a false charge. These boys were tortured for 2 hours…They were just beaten by iron rods & wooden sticks; they were later on hanged to the tree & even carried around in truck. Even animals do not kill other animals like this. This incident just proves how low humans can stoop.

Culprits are not just those who tortured them to death. Culprits are all those people who didn’t do anything to stop this madness.

Please sign this petition. Thank you!

PS Guys, one of the pic is quite graphic, but I have uploaded it, so that people can see what happened in the month of Ramazan when we are supposed to fast, but some people were busy killing 2 innocent boys.

The bloody Sialkot incident

I’m pretty mad at those people who killed 2 brothers in Sialkot. The policemen were there, but they couldn’t help being corrupt to the core. These 2 boys were tortured to death by an extremely crazy mob. They used iron rods & wooden sticks, & killed them. 14 policemen were there, but they didn’t intervene. They played the role of silent spectators.

These boys were innocent. They were not robbers as they were painted by some genuine criminals. And the crazy mob thought it was their right to kill them.

Who the hell has given people the right to take law in their hand? I wonder what will become of Pakistan…we have crazy people & corrupt policemen. It was like criminals were torturing 2 innocent souls & the god-damn police was watching the incident. I’m ashamed of Pakistanis who did this…What’s the point of suspending such policemen? Everyone who is involved & the policemen who were there should be killed in the same manner. That is what justice demands.

I haven’t seen the video. My siblings have & according to them, it’s too graphic. I really don’t have the courage to watch this show of insanity in which humans forget that they are humans. I feel so sorry for the mother of these 2 brothers. I could go on using swear words for the bastards who have done this sickening act…but then what? Nothing would change. They are dead & they went through hell, thanks to these corrupt people! And here some of us can’t even watch their death scene.

I can’t see as to why people complain about having Zardari as President…corrupt nations deserve corrupt Presidents. Well I’m thoroughly ashamed of my people; they simply embarrass me now.

May the souls of these 2 brothers rest peace! I don’t expect much of Pakistanis. They think it’s their birthright to terrorize anyone they can. And we all know what happens to such countries. I just hope that Butt brothers get justice.
