Google Doodle Celebrates Les Paul 96th Birthday


Today's Google Doodle celebrates the 96th Birthday of legendary musician Les Paul.



Google's homepage has a guitar that you can strum with your mouse, use letters and numbers on your keyboard and even record a music created using the Google logo.


Lester William Polsfuss better known as Les Paul is an American jazz and country guitarist, songwriter and inventor. His name Les Paul was acquired into a Gibson brand which is known as Gibson Les Paul guitars.

Google Doodles are the images and designs that appears in the Google search engine page. They appear on special days like birthdays of people who are popular, anniversaries or events that are popularly known worldwide but disappear in just 24 hours. If you happened to visit Google any time yesterday, you saw a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Hubble space telescope.

The first Google Doodle was in honor of the Burning Man Festival and that was in 1998 and the The doodle was designed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin
