Japanese Creative Artist Takashi Murakami Google Homepage Logo

Japanese creative artist Takashi Murakami marks the summer solstice on the Google homepage on Tuesday's Google homepage logo. The longest day of the year and the first day of summer.

The recent Google Doodle was a playable image to honor Musician Les Paul which you can download and edit the guitar notes from the Guitar Google Doodle.

Google Doodle Celebrates Les Paul 96th Birthday


Today's Google Doodle celebrates the 96th Birthday of legendary musician Les Paul.



Google's homepage has a guitar that you can strum with your mouse, use letters and numbers on your keyboard and even record a music created using the Google logo.


Lester William Polsfuss better known as Les Paul is an American jazz and country guitarist, songwriter and inventor. His name Les Paul was acquired into a Gibson brand which is known as Gibson Les Paul guitars.

Google Doodle Ice Cream Sundae

Google updated their homepage with an Ice Cream Sundae doodle for its 119th anniversary of the first documented ice cream sundae. Many speculate that the search giant's code named Ice Cream operating system may be released.

On Sunday, April 3, 1892 in Ithaca, John M. Scott, a Unitarian Church minister, and Chester Platt, co-owner of Platt & Colt Pharmacy, created the first historically documented sundae. It was named Cherry Sunday because it was ice cream with cherry syrup and candied cherries on a whim.



According to Wikipedia, the first recorded sundae was on Sunday, April 3, 1892, which is a kind of ice cream typically consists of a scoop of ice cream topped with sauce or syrup.

Google Corporate Logo

The Google corporate logo has been replaced by a Holiday Google Doodle to represent the Festive Season of Christmas and New Year.


Many may have noticed 17 images above the search bar and it represents sights from around the world, it's a collection of cards which are very much alike to Google's logo color. Users can click through for a search page related to that image.

Michael Lopez who is the Chief of Google Doodler and his team of five artists took a total of 250 hours covering more than 5 months to create the Holiday Google Doodle.


Search Giant Google has planned to keep this logo until Christmas Day.

Play Pacman on Google

Google has created the first interactive doodle of their logo. To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Pacman, Google has honored and it with a playable doodle. Simply click the insert coin button and you’ll be able to control her with W, A, S, and D on your keyboard.

According to Google, the Pacman logo will have a total of 256 levels and Pacman will be up on Google for a total of 48 hours.

Google changes their google doodles when there is a major event, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.. and i think this is the very first time that an interactive doodle of their logo was made.
