Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 28, 1986), better known by her stage name Lady Gaga, is an American pop singer-songwriter. After performing in the rock music scene of New York City's Lower East Side in 2003 and later enrolling at New York University'sTisch School of the Arts, she soon signed with Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records. During her early time at Interscope, she worked as a songwriter for fellow label artists and captured the attention of recording artist Akon, who recognized her vocal abilities, and signed her to his own label, Kon Live Distribution.

Gaga came to prominence following the release of her debut studio album The Fame (2008), which was a critical and commercial success and achieved international popularity with the singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". The album reached number one on the record charts of six countries, topped the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart while simultaneously peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and accomplished positions within the top ten worldwide. Achieving similar worldwide success, The Fame Monster (2009), its follow-up, produced a further two global chart-topping singles "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" and allowed her to embark on her second global concert tour, The Monster Ball Tour, just months after having finished her first, The Fame Ball Tour. Her second studio album Born This Way, released in May 2011, topped the charts in all major musical markets, after the arrival of its eponymous lead single "Born This Way", which achieved the number-one spot in countries worldwide and was the fastest-selling single in the history of iTunes, selling one million copies in five days.

Inspired by glam rock artists like David Bowie, Elton John and Queen, as well as pop singers such as Madonna and Michael Jackson, Gaga is well-recognized for her outré sense of style in fashion, in performance and in her music videos. Her contributions to the music industry have garnered her numerous achievements including five Grammy Awards, among twelve nominations; two Guinness World Records; and the estimated sale of 13–15 million albums and 51–60 million singles worldwide. Billboard named her the Artist of the Year in 2010, ranking her as the 73rd Artist of the 2000s decade. Gaga has been included in Time magazine's annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world as well as being listed in a number of Forbes' annual lists.

Lady Gaga in Gianni Versace Mermaid See-through Dress at the Launch of Germany’s Top Model

COLOGNE, Germany (June 11) – Lady Gaga likes to be in buzz always, sometimes for her music and mostly for her bizarre outlooks and dresses.

Recently she was in Cologne at the launch of Germany’s Top Model, wearing a freaking Gianni Versace mermaid dress.

In the picture above, the 25-year-old is revealing her secrets in see-through dress with a wide smile on her face. You could still see her undies through it – but at least she was wearing ’em. One of her fan was quick enough to show the praise for her in form of placard she is holding in her hands.

Lady Gaga later told her fans that a song on her latest album ‘Born This Way’ was inspired by a “s***” club she went to in Berlin.

She said: “I had some fun with my friends, and then the next day I wrote Scheiße.” That’s what you call digging the dirt.

Lady Gaga Sheer Blue Outfit 2011

Lady Gaga Sheer Blue Outfit 2011

Lady Gaga certainly knows how to raise the blood pressure of her fans.
The pop superstar dared to bare in a see-through blue dress yesterday as she posed for puictures at a photo call in Mexico city.
Leaving little to the imagination, Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – only had two strategically-placed pieces of striped tape preserving her modesty.

The 25-year-old superstar, who was in the Mexican capital city to promote her new album Born This Way, also debuted a new do, wearing what appeared to be a wig styled in a short bleach blonde bob with a blunt fringe.
The fringe and other strands were dyed black and she completed her wild look with her signature red lipstick, black eye make-up and a pair of outlandish platforms.
The singer recently revealed how she had witnessed the tragic events that occurred in new York on September 11 2001.
At the age of 15 Lady Gaga saw the Twin Towers collapse from the roof of her school, the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan, New York.

Lady Gaga Respond To Osama Bin Laden Death

In an exclusive new radio interview the pop queen said that Osama bin Laden’s death earlier this week was: ‘An historical moment in the fight against hatred’.
She also recalled her father, Joseph, coming to collect her from school on foot on the historic day.
The worried pair then waited in fraught desperation for ten hours before they finally learned that Gaga’s mother was safe.
The Poker Face singer’s mother Cynthia worked right across the street from the World Trade Center an had been caught in the terrible commotion ten years ago.
‘The whole city was covered in ashes,’ Gaga told the radio host Toby Knapp in the interview on Washington, DC’s Hot 99.5 on Friday.
Gaga, now 25, said she experienced conflicting feelings after she learned bin Laden had been killed.
‘It’s a difficult thing,’ she said
‘Nobody wants to celebrate anyone’s death. But I know it was something that meant a lot to the people of New York, especially those who lost loved ones that day.’
Lady Gaga is heading back to Los Angeles this weekend and will serve as the latest superstar mentor for the final four contestants on next week’s  American Idol.

Lady Gaga Will Donate $1 Million For LGBTQ Organizations

Lady Gaga, who is very open about her bisexuality will be donating $1 million to the Robin Hood Foundation to support five New York based groups that aid homeless LGBTQ youths. The money will be used to support nonprofits completely.

According to figures, there are at least 4000 teens living on the streets of New York. Some are from foster cares, some have run away from their homes while some were rejected by their families because of their sexual orientation.

Robin Hood Foundation has programs that help these kids get off the streets and build stable lives for themselves. Lady Gaga has asked people to vote on which of the five charities should get the largest share of monetary support by getting $500,000.

The five charities are as follows:

1. The Door - It runs a health clinic, legal services, LGBT counseling and activities along with art classes and more. It provides services to 11,000 teens.

2. Hetrick-Martin Institute - It is the oldest organization that supports LGBTQ youth in America. It provides health services, food, counseling, education, career development and sexual health advice.

3. Lawyers for Children - It provides free legal and social work services to some 40,000 youth with special focus on the LGBTQ youth.

4. Safe Horizon - It serves homeless and abused youth of NYC and help them get back to a more stable life.

5. SCO Family of Services - It provides transitional housing, education, health services, life skills training and career guidance to the youth.

Voting will close on May 6th, 2011 at 6:00 am EST.

Lady Gaga is quite focused on ensuring that her super stardom is used for the best of humanity and it is good to see her do so much for the causes she believes in. Most people are quite happy to see her doing work for the youth, the support of LGBTQ youth and the hope that people will learn to accept everyone with whatever sexual orientation they have in a civilized manner.

Lady Gaga's Controversies

Well, we all know Lady Gaga is the queen of controversies. Whatever she does is news. Here is a quick look at the most famous of her controversies.

Meat Dress: Yes, we all remember the gross MTV Music Awards meat dress that she wore. It was gross for most of the people to see flesh of dead animals on her body. For her it was plain art and a designer outfit by Franc Fernandez.

Burlesque Dancing: Lady Gaga admitted that before she became popular, her main source of income was through burlesque dancing where she used to perform in a thong on stage and sang songs on oral sex.

Nasty Videos: She has been criticized often for her explicit videos. She has shown nudity, masochistic images, sexual and Catholic imagery and even sucked on rosary beads in one of her songs.

Ex Boyfriend Lawsuit: She had to face a $30.5 million lawsuit by her former boyfriend, business partner and producer, Rob Fusari. He claimed he named her and framed her style. Lady Gaga remained quiet throughout and they reached a settlement outside the court.

Breast Milk Ice-cream Episode: When Covent Garden ice cream parlour introduced a new flavor, Baby Gaga, which had vanilla pods, lemon and breast milk, Lady Gaga decided to take legal action against them.

Bisexuality: Lady Gaga is open about her bisexuality. She said, the fact that she is into women, intimidated men and made them uncomfortable.

I think Lady Gaga is spontaneous

Well some people believe that Lady Gaga tries to be all edgy & cool but I don’t think it’s true. Now in this pic, it’s obvious that she’s giving a weird expression. And you have to be really mad to call it cool.

Anyway I like this pic.

Lady Gaga fan kills & mutilates a pet cat to use for costume

A 20 year old woman killed & mutilated family pet cat & later on used its blood as part of her costume. This is what she was supposed to wear on the concert but she was arrested for cruelty to animals.

Some websites are making references to Lady Gaga’s meat dress and the killing of this cat, like the Post Chronicle. It states that “it is unclear if the woman was trying to emulate Lady Gaga‘s meat dress from the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards."

Anyway Angelina K, Barnes the woman who killed the 12 year old family pet is suffering from depression. She was all dressed up for the concert when a relative returned home. Angelina was wearing a long coat & her face was covered in blood. Naturally the relative called the police & the relative was one of her aunts.

“Authorities discovered that Barnes drowned the cat. After the cat was dead, she sliced the cat open and mutilated its eyes. The cat's liver was found in a make-up case on top of the bathroom vanity.”

Lady Gaga is not the person who would ever harm any animal but this is one of the creepiest things to be associated with her. Beyond any doubt, Angelina is mentally ill. Who in her senses would kill a 12 year old family cat just to dress up for a concert!!!

Lady Gaga covers Harper’s Magazine

Lady Gaga will be the cover girl of Harper’s Magazine in May. Terry Richardson happens to be the photographer & this time I haven’t been that disappointed. They have been creative enough to create 5 nipples.

She very rightly said:

“I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me.”

Moreover, Lady Gaga doesn’t think much of plastic surgery:

"I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification."

Over all I think the interview is pretty interesting but you know it’s not possible for me to share each & everything. She doesn’t read tabloid but of course she gets amused every time they show interest in her personal life. (She's happy to respond to recent claims: "I'm not engaged, and I'm not a drug addict, but thank you for asking.")

"I've always wanted to be an adjective," she says with a smile. But she adds, "Back then, I was just delusional. I'm going to make a T-shirt that says, I'M NOT A PROPHET, I'M DELUSIONAL."

"You can quote me on this: People love you when they think you won't be around for very long, and people hate you when they can't get rid of you. But I'm not going anywhere."

I really like her attitude but she sounds weird too at times. Moreover, she doesn’t believe in making money but she wants to make a difference through her music.

Lady Gaga’s performance in Las Vegas

This was a surprise performance at Vegas Club & she is famous for her surprise shows, besides her outlandish dressing. And yes as usual a lot of people who aren’t her fans couldn’t stand her dressing or lack there of. They believe it would be a lot better if she goes naked, cause it’s getting monotonous. Well I also find this criticism excruciatingly boring now but you know people always think they are right.

This is not the 1st time she has been seen in bodysuit, however.

Anyway, she wasn’t the only singer performing. Her fans also paid tribute to her by singing birthday song to her.

Happy Birthday Lady Gaga! :D

Dear Lady Gaga:

Many many happy returns of the day! We wish that you touch all your dreams & we look forward to lots & lots of surprises. It’s another thing it’s getting kind of monotonous now, but nevertheless, we do hope that you will continue to shock those who can’t stand anything different & invariably forget you’re a singer. And we truly wish you all the happiness in the world.

She has turned 25 today, but as usual she will be busy on her special day.

Lady Gaga Talks About Malaysian Censorship

Lady Gaga is not happy to know that the Malaysian government is censoring her song "Born This Way" because the country consists of conservative majority of Muslims who don't accept LGBT rights.

In Malaysia, homosexuality is taboo and illegal. Many Islamic groups there consider her song's lyrics "No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian or transgendered life" to be very offensive. As a result of this, many of the concerts have been cancelled and often the organizers are fined later for contravening laws governing modesty. Broadcasters have been fined 10,000 pounds for playing her song as well in Malaysia.

Lady Gaga spoke openly about the Malaysian censorship issue regarding her song. She said that the youth of Malaysia should fight for their rights and make their voices heard if they want to hear these words from her song. She said one must fight for liberation from the set rules in a peaceful way.

Well, I am pretty ok with somebody else's sexual orientations and accept LGBT rights. I understand everybody may not be so cool about these things. But I think every society will take time to realize these things are a reality even if laws or religions prohibit such stuff. Even in countries like Malaysia LGBT community would exist quietly. I feel one is gay or lesbian or straight by nature. What's so special if you are straight but your friend is gay? At the end of the day we are all humans. Do we judge someone on the fact that he is gay or lesbian or if he is a decent human being or not?

These are natural things and people should understand that. Anyhow, there is no harm in playing a song because sexual preferences do not depend on such lyrics rather her lyrics merely talk about the general acceptance of people no matter how they are. The bigger and better picture is missed by focusing on individual words like lesbians or transgender etc.

Lady Gaga’s beauty tips can be shocking

Lady Gaga continues to shock everyone & most of all her fans. She has made headlines in the news for her recent remarks about wearing makeup even to bed. She doesn’t fully get rid of her makeup each night. She reveals in the latest issue of People:

"That is not good for your skin, but I'm blessed with good genes," she said.

"I don't like to tan my face because it's bad for wrinkles," added Lady Gaga. She regards her mom as a beauty icon & she taught her to wash her face with simple products like Ivory soap. Which means she does wash her face sometimes?

Anyway in simple words, she goes to sleep with makeup on, but she wouldn’t go without sunscreen. As I said in my title, her beauty tips can be shocking. Usually people wash their face day & night. Naturally it’s too much for certain minds that someone wears sunscreen but doesn’t ever shed her outrageous makeup. I don’t know why they are shocked. Many people don’t take bath for 3-7 days. Do they even bother to wash faces? I have my doubts. Yeah for many of us it’s hard to believe that someone can go to bed without shedding makeup. But it’s her life. That doesn’t give anyone the right to call her totally unhealthy & gross. Some of us don’t wear makeup & I have seen that people also have problem with that. Since she mentioned washing her face with Ivory soap, I’m sure she can’t be all that dirty as the media is making her to be.

She’s a natural brunette, but she admitted that she had to get a "chemical haircut because [her] blonde hair is falling out.” I don’t know what does she mean by chemical haircut. Moreover, she dyed her hair blonde after some interviewer confused her with Amy Winehouse. She said, "I want to be known for my own look.”

Lady Gaga admits to constantly wanting a foot massage after stalking around town in her sky-high boots and heels. Yeah walking in those boots can be quite tough. The idea of even wearing such shoes is pure torture. Anyhow, she said that she’s just being herself & it’s her style.

"Just go with your gut," she said. "Whenever you try to be someone else, it's boring."

Moreover, Lady Gaga often carries a purple teacup and saucer in public. "I drank tea with my mom, [so teacups] make me feel at home.”

I have read somewhere that Lady Gaga used to write songs for Britney Spears & New Kids on the Block.

Anyway, I’ve noticed that people have been quite judgmental. You know people have the right to be weird or different just as they have the right to be strong. Why are we always judging a person? She hasn’t raped or abused anyone. She hasn’t hurt anyone with her words or deeds. She can choose to be anything she likes. And I think people love this kind of entertainment & then they bitch about it. First, you don’t have a life. You come across someone who happens to be more noticeable than you. You start finding faults in her, cause that makes them feel better. This is highly absurd behavior.

Lady Gaga: Born This Way

Well I think we have talked enough about this girl's dressing sense. I think it's unfair to not mention the good music she produces. I really like her song Born This Way. Yes it does have a touch of Madonna but the song is pretty good and the idea is quite meaningful.

Lady Gaga can never let you down

This woman amazes me every time. However, these are not very new pics...they were taken when she arrived in Toronto for that concert. Her outfit is, for the most part, unusual. It's different that we cannot wear everything but Lady Gaga can wear anything in freezing cold places. Yeah she's wearing a shirt...what else would you call it? But more importantly, how can a person walk in such boots? And what kind of shoes are they anyway?

Whatever it is...I kind of like Lady Gaga. She does what people cannot even dare to think.

Teenage Lady Gaga

I think Lady Gaga was quite pretty a teenager...people were amazed to see such a soft side of the very wild Lady Gaga of today!

Lady Gaga & her biggest fan

Lady Gaga was reduced to tears by one of her biggest fans, Maria Aragon on 3rd March at her Toronto concert.

This is one cute thing about Lady Gaga. She really loves her fans & it’s all genuine. She might be eccentric but she definitely has a good heart. You can see that she really adores her followers & she rightly calls them ‘Little Monsters.’ It's genuine affection.

Maria is a 10 year old who made international headlines last month when her tribute to Lady Gaga, a video of her sitting at her keyboard playing Born This Way, received eight million hits in just five days. To date, it has been viewed over 17.6 million times.

Both Lady Gaga & Maria performed a version of Born This Way at the Air Canada Canter.

‘If I could just touch one person, that's enough,' Lady Gaga said after Maria had left the stage. 'She made me all nervous because she's such a superstar.'

Some people as usual had issues with the dress sense of Lady Gaga. They didn't want her to meet a 10 year old all naked, but I guess her fans must be used to it by now. And what's the big deal about it anyway?
