Reema Adopts Baby Gazelles

Well this is the first time I am hearing such news about one of our celebrities that involves animals and animal care. Till now we heard mostly of the peacocks and tigers related to Sharif family or saw a few fake pictures of Musharraf with his little dogs.In fact, I read in his very unimpressive book about his dogs that he didn't think having a small breed as your pet dog would make one less macho or masculine. And others I have seen are mostly breed conscious people who just aim to impress others around them. Mostly the animals have better personalities than the owners.

Anyway, this is a bit different. Reema - our Pakistani actress who is now the Zoo Ambassador recently visited the Lahore Zoo and fell in love with two baby gazelles (Indian Gazelle fawns) and decided to adopt them immediately. According to the adoption programme offered by the Lahore Zoo, anyone can adopt an animal they are interested in and are then responsible for its upbringing. You have to pay annually and the animal's entire responsibility and expenses is on the person who has adopted the animal. 

Reema was never associated with animal care before but said she always loved animals but could never do anything practically to help them. Well her good spirits are positively taken. I am glad I read about it because if one listens to Reema - she would say the same thing in at least 30 minutes. She loves to talk endlessly. I think the  Lahore Zoo is much better than Karachi's Zoo and hopefully they would take better care of the animals than our zoo here and the money raised through this programme would be honestly used on the animals only.

Beautiful Pakistanis

I have been thinking of making a list of beautiful Pakistanis but whenever I come online, I just don’t feel like it. Mostly the things I talk about my country are not that great & naturally this kind of list seems a very stupid idea.

Moreover, so far as beauty is concerned, I have always liked Western folks. Desi beauty doesn’t appeal to me unless there is something different about it. We raise altars of people who are quite mediocre & if there is someone good enough, people find faults in him/her.

Anyhow my list is not that long. I think Waheed Murad is by far the most beautiful man. I think Zeba, Nadeem, Shabnam, Reema, Shaan, Sameena Pirzada, Jawaid Sheikh, Iman Ali, Zoella & Ali Zafar are also some very beautiful people. Although Ali Zafar doesn’t have that charm. When he opens his mouth, you just want him to shut up. Zoella was a big time liar. I wonder if she really went to uni, cause she was all the time telling a different story. Even when Reema, Shaan & Iman Ali talk, it’s not that impressive. There’s one thing I like about Shaan…he’s a very cool father & he keeps his daughters away from the media.

Most people regard Noori brothers as good-looking, but I don’t like them. Although they are good-looking, but there is something very repulsive about them. Maybe it’s their attitude.

Anyhow, this is my list & it’s not the final word. One of my neighbors was very beautiful. In fact he was a Greek God. I believe anyone would start sketching if that sort of beauty appears out of no where.

I also find Mushy very cute. He’s such a darling. What a pity he had to take off his uniform! And I’m sure people must be very happy with everything right now.

And last but not least, Mr. Jinnah was of course very charming. He was the best thing that happened to Pakistan.

Very, very young

Age is only a matter of numbers, or does it really give headaches? I think whether a person lies about his/her age, it shows. Very few people look much, much younger than their age.

Anyway Neetu Singh was 13 year old when she came in movies. Rani Mukherjee was just 17. The thing is they are 13, 14 or 17. Unless they are Kareena Kapoor & Karishma Kapoor. They are ever green. I still remember how in Dil tou pagal hai, Karishma never missed any opportunity of calling Madhuri her senior. And it won’t be incorrect to say that Kareena is still in her diapers. She was also 14 year ago when she came in Refugee. There’s only one lady who doesn’t lie about her age & that is Sushmita Sen. I’m sure they would be some others too but I can’t recall their names.

Some other examples are also bothering me. Of course they are all age conscious. Besides that there is something wrong in their level of maturity as well. Nirma once said, what can I do, if I am so hot? The only person I’ve ever heard talking about Nirma’s hotness, is Nirma herself.

Gia Ali has some philosophies too & I think she has heard them from someone else. She says a beautiful woman is always in a relationship & that’s why she says she has 2 boyfriends, cause she is very, very beautiful. And those who aren’t in relationship are either lesbians or they have relations with animals.

And there’s another woman & her name is Meera. Jee haan Miss Meera Jee…well she says that she was 10 year old when she came in the industry. I saw her in that powder ad for the 1st time & she didn’t seem like a child to me.

Many, many years ago, on her 19th birthday, Reema said that it would have been so nice if my parents had taught me English rather than dancing. I can never understand what is this obsession with English. In one of her interviews, Reema jee gave 500 bucks to some poor fellow. I missed the point somewhere.

I don’t know what to say about Veena Malik. Every time I see her on TV, it reminds me of those Internet pics…You know what I mean.

So, these are some young dames from the era that seems a bit too old for such young & dainty girls. Actually yahan tou sab hee bachay hain. It’s rare to meet adults these days.
